OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed

You know, if you post that in the OOC thread I can remove my IC post and it doesn't look so weird ;~)
Sorry, completely missed that somehow.

Done.
Aldan's intention was not to have the townie overhear in case the stablehand might be compromised, but if that wasn't possible we can totally roll with it as is.

With this new information Aldan, after the townsperson was out of earshot, turned to the group. "So, what questions should we ask?"

Aldan nods and turns to the others, under the vocal cover of a rambling goblin he draws close to his companions. "Oh,..." he says.

So, I will apologize, the game seems to be struggling along.
The funny part is that if we were sitting around a table this would have been about two to four hours of game play, not months.
The good news is that you're hopefully pointing towards things picking up a bit.
Still, I wanted to check and see how everybody is doing at this point.
It's safe to say Plan b is MIA. He hasn't been online in a month now, and Jessica Bright has barely said anything since the beginning of the game. I'm wondering if I should just turn her into GM-NPC, or write her out.

We're as much at fault for the game going slow as you are. Except Flynnarrel. He's always ready ;}
As for Jessica, I would say temporarily write her out? The great things about clerics is you can just give them a vision from God and have them do pretty much whatever you want

Or when we get to a place it's appropriate you can have her kidnapped. Whatever is going on seems to have a hate-on for dieties.

I have to appreciate the guy's enthusiasm for getting the goblin out of his stable

Still waiting on Perception checks from stavros and T-man.

In case it helps with following the trail using the numbers on the map:
Above 8 and 9, through the trees and below 10, east above 11, through the river and over to above 15 with a trail seeming to head to the trees to the north by 20, and towards 16.
I'm thinking next time, much more straight forward starting game would be a better move ;~)
Oh well, things will be coming to a head soon.
Mwa ha ha ha.

Strength check to bust open the door (assuming it's needed)? Or some kind of attack roll?

Crowbar gives advantage to Str checks to pry the boards off, the mayor asked us to replace them after we looked around.

Honestly a 9 is enough in this case, Paladin vs old wooden planks with crowbar is a non-contest, especially with nothing forcing you to hurry.
In this case feel free to rip the boards off if you feel like it, but it did give me the opportunity to reveal something.

How high is the ceiling? Is it intact?
Re: OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
And how did Georgia become familiar with the sound of a dying giraffe?
Re: OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
Sorry, missed the question, the roof is intact so far, it's about two stories tall, with Aldan up on the rafters you'd (a medium sized creature with a four foot long sword) still be able to hit him, though I'd might give him cover bonus, but though any fancy moves on the railing would probably require a reflex save to not fall down.
The good news is it wouldn't be a far enough fall to do damage, though if you roll a one you've probably hurt your pride.
Though for goblins they'd be hard pressed to reach high enough to hit him with a sword.
Also to answer another question: Aldan did make it up without much in the way of sound. It's a pretty easy climb, and your usage of magic will make it nearly silent.
As for how Georgia became familiar with the sound of a dying giraffe, it's actually the sad tale of her tone deaf sister (You guys know I'm just making this up as I go, right? Right. Good.)

It's usually Acrobatics for feats of balancing.
