Did you want initiatives or should the PCs just go?

No initiatives needed, PCs turn to go.

Paladins get magic?
I've never gotten to a high enough level for it to happen. ;~)
Anyways, not a problem, just figure out what you want for the day and let us know.

Speaking of, could we say that Sister Bright cast and distributed her Goodberries again to the party?

Well the bad news is that an 8 isn't good enough to hit.
The good news is that you rolled your damage instead of your To Hit, so there's still a chance of success.
1d20+5, please.

Yeah, rules as written probably take the last attack as being the one that results in death.
I'm just running with the idea that if the damage goes past their HP but some of it was non-lethal that the character will drop without necessarily being dead. If you can one shot them they'll drop, but that's not likely to be a problem after a few levels... so probably not a perfect solution
Either way I don't see forcing you to kill people as adding to much to this game, and I'm sure you guys can fix that problem if the urge hits ;~)

There was no key on any of the monks, or on Misha.
Re: OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
Are there any windows we can look outside to see who's out there?
Re: OOC: Against the Cult of the Reptile God - D&D 5E - Recruiting Closed
Sadly there are no windows on this building at all.
I'm not sure why a goddess dedicated to farming wouldn't have windows on her own temple, the only thing I can think of is that this temple was meant to be a place of protection should the town get attacked.

I'll go with what the group decides. Do we go on, hoping to run the temple before the townspeople, dogs, and newly freed monks and priestess catch up to us?
Do we force the encounter here with the possibility that others come in behind us?
What are your guys' thoughts?
