"Haha, kawaii so, Levi san. But you are doing great regardless, that was the aim of all this." The warrior says with a laugh. "Your back needs some work, and it will be the area you will see results faster. So that you get some positive feedback, dont want you quitting on me." he adds, pointing a finger at Levi in a motherly fashion. "Now, what you will do every day is this, lay on your stomach like this..." he says as he himself does so. "Now lift both your legs and your torso, your belly should be the only thing touching the tatami." he says as he demonstrates. "Then hold for 10 seconds. Repeat this 20 times a day." Hitori says, and quickly stands up with a backward jump. Taking a hand to his hips he looks at Levi again "Your legs also need work, I would give you some running and stair practice but Im afraid your knees will give you trouble. Use the gym quadriceps machine, instead of making repetitions, hold the position for 10 seconds. Hm..." Hitori nods to himself. "Questions?"

Levi nods at Hitori, "Yes, I agree...I can use the strengthening and the cardio. I've probably needed more strength and cardio for 58 years...better late than never I suppose."

The old doctor listens as Hitori recommends the running and stair-climbing exercises, "Hmm...I can handle the cardio part of the exercise, I think. It may take me time, but I can push through the difficulty until my stamina starts to improve. The only thing I worry about are exercises that are somewhat plyometric. I'll need to take those workouts in small doses to start with...my joints just won't be able to take too much of a pounding. It may be that I've waited too long to develop the kind of explosive strength you need to be good at martial arts. Only time will tell, but I'm willing to keep trying."

Levi uses his shirt sleeve to wipe sweat from his eyebrow. "So, what kind of weapon do you suggest for 58 year-olds? Smith and Wesson?"

Silvia watches Hitori's transformation from towering abomination to the more mundane dimensions of a human woman. The Ascendant's brow furrows, but she does not voice whatever emotional response she may have to the disturbing sight. Instead she waits for Hitori to take his sword from her, then gestures to a pile of clothes on the ground next to the door. Perhaps he had not even realized that he was naked … his previous set of clothes no doubt having been destroyed during his last shift from stolen human body to what was now his true form.

"I have been informed that you have been eating homeless people and children. Sustaining yourself off of the general citizenry is not acceptable."

She states this without judgement. More as a reminder that you don't go around eating random people. As though it were a matter of etiquette or social grace. Before complaint can be given Silvia goes on, explaining how Hitori's general feeding is expected to be handled.

"We are holding prisoners that you may make use of. There are also a number of terminally ill individuals who cannot be helped given the state of our medical infrastructure. Many have volunteered themselves. Others signed their bodies away for medical or scientific use."

Hitori dons the clothing offered, a loose fitting robe, perhaps even the clothes of the woman he had eaten. How curious, his human self would have been disgusted by what he was doing now, but he didnt felt any remorse. Since he had taken his oath, things were simpler, he had stopped asking questions to himself. The lives he has taken were casualties of war, but now the offered sacrifices were even willing to be consumed. How practical.
As he mused these things the indian woman finished covering herself, and hanged the sword on her back. Her black eyes fix on Costa. "That is very convenient. Should I inform you when I need sustenance or have you arranged for a way I can enter and help myself? I do not think you want an abomination like me in your base anymore than strictly necessary."

The elemental composition of Costa's face takes on an expression of distaste when Hitori asked about helping himself. It doesn't last long, but it serves as a reminder that what he is having to acclimate to is abhorrent to others.

"I do not want you glutting yourself. Your feedings will be rationed based on need. These are still people. They are sons and daughters. Fathers and mothers. Each life is a world of experiences that once lost can never be replaced."

The last part of her final statement was emphasized: once lost can never be replaced. She let that linger a moment, then turned and motioned for Hitori to follow.

"There are some people you need to meet."

As they walked, Hitori had the chance to take in his environment. The hallway they were currently in was broad and long, made of unpainted concert. Every six feet for so was a sturdy and thick steel door like the one that had locked Hitori in the room he had woken. It felt like a bare bone isolation wing in an a prison that didn't pretend to be anything other than a prison.

There is a guard stationed at the end of the hall, behind a barred door, further reinforcing the idea of a prison. He unlocks the door, for the two of you and you turn and after a little more walking you come to a flight of stairs leading up. The next floor is different. The floor is tiled. The walls are paneled and painted an off shade of white. There are people moving around, through the hallways and from room to room, with purpose.

Further into the what must be the center of the floor Silvia leads Hitori into room. There is a long table and chairs along either side at the middle of the room. Seated facing the door, are two people talking between themselves. A red haired man with a short cut beard and a woman with dishwater blonde hair. Both caucasian, though the man's skin is freckled and the woman has tanned skin. They're older, past their middle years. Once Hitori enters they stand, and Silvia closes the door before gesturing first to the woman, then the man.

"Master Hitori Zanzo, the Sword of Null, this is Dr. Catherine Fitzgerald and Dr. Simon Cross."

The indian woman raises an eyebrow. "You assume too much, Costa san, a sin militars tend to commit far too often. Seems you ascension has not improved that part. You are wrong on two accounts. First you assume I would simply devour everyone until I burst. I do not. As soon as I regain control of myself, the whole consumption thing revolts my mind. I do not do this by choice, remember that. Second, the people I consume are merged with me, they do not disappear. I have their memories, their essence is merged with mine; it is a fitting form of torture for an abomination like me, if you think about it. I get to know exactly who I consume, which makes the experience all the more traumatic." Hitori explains as the pair move through the spartan corridors.
Presented with the pair, likely scientists, Hitori bows sharply. "I am honoured." the indian female says, while still bowed, before resuming a straight posture. She is now showing an amicable smile.

OOC wrote:Since Hitori decided to act confrontational with Costa (that is the vibe I'm getting), we are going to take a step back and address that. It'll also give Hitori a chance to defuse the tension if that was not your intent. Remember, Hitori is being punished. The approach is different than with Diego and Peter because of Hitori's Status. That can change though.
"Very informative."

… Silvia responds after Hitori has explained his perspective and shared the information about inheriting the memories of his victims. There isn't any sarcasm. Her tone is thoughtful, as though weighing what he had said. It doesn't last long though, because the dark clad woman soon stops and turns to face Hitori. Her voice takes on a warning edge, the tone suggested that there would be repercussions if he made the wrong move here.

"However, if you do not want people thinking the worst of you then choose your words and actions with greater care. You are, in fact, in your current situation because your behavior needs correcting. Tell me, are you going to work with me to achieve that change or do you want to return to the cell?"

"I am willing to work with you Costa." replied Hitori with certain tiredness in her eyes. For some reason interacting with Costa had always been a draining experience for him when both of them were human. Seems some thing are not changed even by ancient mutating viruses nor otherworldly sci-fi transformations.

Hitori received a lingering stare from Silvia. It wasn't hard to see that his response was not what she wanted to hear. But it was enough, if barely, to keep from pressing the issue or turning the situation in a bad direction for the weary warrior. Turning away from you Silvia resumes her walk down the hallway and to the room where she later introduces Hitori to Catherine and Simon.

The two doctors initially moved to extend hands to shake. However, when Hitori delivers a bow they pause, withdraw their hands and return bows of their own directed towards the swordsman wearing the body of an Indian woman. Costa does not waste time, and once the bows are exchanged she resumes introductions.

"Dr. Cross is a specialist in the study and treatment of infectious diseases. With your consent he will study your condition and act as your primary care physician."

At this point Simon speaks up. The man has a rough gravely voice with a faint Scottish accent.

"Apparently Dr. Kripke performed some tests on you previously. Dr. Sokolov has forward the results to us. We can talk about that later, private if you like."

"Ah my friend is looking over me even from the other side. Yes, I would like to hear any information you have regarding my condition. Sokolov gave me grim forecasts, which I have live past for the time being." replies Hitori. "I would very much like to listen to your insights, if you need my consent literally, then I give you my consent to study my condition. Should you require samples, just ask." he offers, with a short bow of the head.

Silvia waited for the exchange between Hitori and Simon to conclude before raising his left had, which she used to indicate the other woman that looked like a flesh a blood person rather than a walking weather phenomena.

"Dr. Fitzgerald is a physiatrist. Once a week I want you to have a sit down with her. You are also encouraged to speak with her whenever you need someone to talk to about what you are going through."

Catherine remained silent, content to allow Costa to make the public introduction without offering any additional input that might suggest she'd already begun researching Hitori's condition … like Simon had. Instead she offers Hitori a small smile while looking at him, as though allowing him to make the first move. Or make any questions or statements concerning what Costa had planned.

Hitori bowed courtly "I would be honoured to share my mind with you, Fitzgerald San." replies the monster in disguise. "What would be our next step then?" he asks, his eyes Wonder to Costa and then to the doctora. Would the study begin right away?

"I look forward to speaking with you one on one Master Zanzo."

Catherine responded initially to Hitori's statement. Then when Hitori bowed he paused awkwardly for a couple seconds, before returning a bow in courtly martial artist's direction. Costa's mismatched eyes observed the interactions, the woman herself not interjecting until the exchange had completed and a question was voiced. Silvia was brisk but unrushed in her manner of speaking. Formal but not oppressive. Like Dr. Sokolov and Praetor Null, there was an unspoken etiquette she seemed to follow. Hitori, of all those of his team, had the most experience with this due to his station in Imperator's Society. This meeting, too, was part of that. A formal, though private, introduction.

"The Praetor has given your group a new assignment. One that is not strictly time sensitive. Corporal Sander will bring you up to speed. You should be able to find her in the mess hall. Before you head out, take some time to rest if you need it, and touch bases with Doctors Cross and Fitzgerald privately. There is an escort waiting for you at the door, who will be able to help you find where you need to go."
OOC wrote:We do not need to play out the one on one scenes with Cross and Fitzgerald. We can if you want to. However, Hitori now has a support system he can call on beyond the PCs. He does need to visit the doctors at least once a week, per Costa's orders, though again we do not need to play out in detail every time.

Wednesday 20th, February 2019 - Telephone Game

As a Corporal, Tilly Sander was a low ranking officer in Imperator's forces before the war. Skilled and naturally talented, but she didn't hold a lot of official authority. She wasn't trained as an administrator, though she had people skills, and knew many of the people Null had sent to staff the new base being constructed under the headship of Diego, Iona, and Peter. Since Diego had asked her to act as liaison between the three leaders and the staff of their new headquarters she had begun to fall into the role of administrator though, making sure that the orders of the Three trickled down stream to the people under their command and that they were carried out. It took a lot of management stress off the Ascendants and Dr. Sokolov's cybernetic liaison, allowed them to focus on what they felt was most important.

Two weeks have passed since your work on the new base had begun. Today, early in the morning, the Corporal asked to speak with Diego and Iona. Given his expertise in engineering Peter's skills were in constant demand during this construction period leaving him wit little free time outside of what he needed to rest. Near eight o'clock the three of you gather in a currently unoccupied room slated to ask act as you future command and control room. By the time each of you arrive Sander is already there with a cup of coffee and a folder with some documents on the table in front of her. As you arrive she greets you, takes drink of the muddy brown beverage in her mug, then sets the coffee aside.

"I'm aware you are both busy, so I won't dance around. Know how Diego is always complaining about the trash communication gear here? I found us an upgrade. But we're going to have to work for it if we want it."

An the mention of putting in work to get some communication equipment Tilly pushes the folder in front of her towards the side of the table Diego and Iona are closest to.

"Some people I talk to told me about a telecommunication's satellite being moved out of the city. There is supposed to be some other gear along with it. Looks like a commercial model for a phone company. Nothing fancy, but it'd be a dedicated com-sat and the ground gear we need to make use of it. Thing is, it's being moved out of the city today around noon. We'd need to grab it out from under their noses while it is in transit. Security is too tight at place they're shipping it out from."

Form: Solid, Morphed into Diego

Diego had generally assumed a form of his past appearance that was more amenable to the people at the base as to not put them off anymore than they might be due to the assignment. It felt constraining, but sacrifices had to be made. When dealing with the people in charge of departments, he would sometimes slip into his more native form for comfort. Around Tilly though, he made sure to try and make her comfortable. She was already put into a role unfamiliar to her. No need to make it worse by being a floating black nannite cloud when handling business.

After one of his trips to the surface to mingle with the homeless around the factory, Diego was pulled into the unfinished room. Listening to the proposal, it made sense. Right now they re at a disadvantage communication wise. Getting a base station, receiver, and other required components would allow them to at least have some communications even if it might not be super encrypted. "You have been a great help in helping the staff so far, your efforts are greatly appreciated.", begins Diego in a markedly more friendly tone than when he speaks with Iona or even Peter. "A little work to get a system more recent than the early digital era of communications is certainly worth it.", adds Diego starting to look over the folder.

"Infiltrating the shipment should be fairly simple once we can find the personal moving it. Simply kill the driver or someone else going with the shipment and take their place. The difficult part will be finding a place not monitored by cameras or too busy for us to make our move and possibly move the supplies into a tailing vehicle or into the sewers for transport back to here. There may also be an issue of the guards.", says Diego still looking over the dossier of information.

His mind was already forming a plan, but he hoped there would be information on the route, the company or people moving the equipment, and other pertinent details useful for mission planning.
Diego is unaware of Ionas full abilities, so not assuming he quizzed her on what she can do.
