In response to the TAW officer's salute Imperious brings a fisted hand to his left breast, over his heart, then extends his arm towards Esserton with the palm open. His hand remained in place for a sew seconds, after which Imperious lowered his arm to his side.

"Welcome aboard the Dancer-upon-Oblivion Captain Esserton. Be aware, there has been some suspicious activity in the area. TAW ships with no organics have been moving through the system. It is suspected they are host to the Oblivion Flock. Tlolkku have been active on both Mars and Rustdeity ... formerly Gaea. Hostile Xeno-Drones originating from Corrosion, Rustdeity's moon, have also made semi-regular appearances. The Oblivion Flock has also utilized corrupted Xeno-Drones in tactical bombardment of Rustdeity."

Imperious watches the man while he offers this forewarning, gauging his response.

"Do you feel the need for an escort back to Jupiter?"

He shakes his head no. “We’ll be here above Rustdeity for about a week, sir. We need to familiarize ourselves with the vessel, create new codes for Datasphere security and test out what weaponry there is. You would be sitting ‘round, doing nothing, for a time.”

A single nod was offered in acknowledgement of the Captain's mention of preparations before they even left orbit. Imperious then raised his left hand and motioned to the core symbol of his family's crest, which was displayed at the center of SHi'Halal's breastplate.

"If you are able to, work my symbol into the Datasphere security code that you devise. It will protect against the corruptive psychic software that is the Oblivion Flock."

He hoped so anyway. Lucas might have been delusional. The vision he had of his father could have been his weary mind at play. But Lucas didn't feel that was the case. So he gave the instructions, and turned to depart from the bridge.

"I'll leave you to your work. Contact me if you require assistance."

The hand that hand earlier motioned to his symbol now patted against the hull of the ancient warship.

"That goes for you as well Dancer-up-Oblivion."

As long as there was no need for his further presence, Imperious departed from the ship, and flew back towards the Winter Palace in To-Ki-Oh.

Returning to the Winter Palace, Imperious sees—-no doubt with great pleasure——golems, swarms of them, working on repairing Jax’s winter home. It is a chaotic hive of activity, but order is slowly emerging from the noise. Houston is doing much of the coordinating, while Nepenthe chats with the Immortals, clearly in her element, navigating the minefield that is To-Ki-O politics.

Seeing Golems active and contributing to the reconstruction was a good sign. That people had been productive in his absence was a pleasant sight. After taking in the general scope of things in the physical world Imperious activated his Encephalon, then descended from the sky to where Houston was coordinating efforts to restore the ruins of the Winter Palace's surface structure. Landing nearby he waits for Houston to finish with a providing directions or input before approaching.

"It is good to see you have not been idle. What has transpired in my absence?"

-<Cousin! We’ve been wondering about your absence. Welcome back! It’s been slow, as reconstruction is constantly being halted, then started again, then halted, by one thing or another.

-<The reactor leak was plugged with what I can only assume is Tengu vomit. It stinks to high hell, but it’s an excellent sponge for radioactivity. We’ll just have to get used to the smell, I imagine.

-<The understructure the Winter Palace is built around is.... Well, it’s a miracle the Palace is even still standing. I think inertia is the only reason why everything hasn’t tumbled down to rubble!>-

He looks over at Nepenthe, in the distance. -<I know who she really is, cousin. Keeping secrets is difficult to do, around a telepath. Why don’t you have her announce herself? Millions might flock to your banner? A political marriage wouldn’t hurt, either.>-

After his initial introduction Shi'Halal's helmet recede, turning to black semi-liquid scales before flowing away from his face and head, down into his neck. A eyebrow raised subtly at the mention of Tengu vomit being used as a sealant. He really needed to make time to read that book.

"The Tengu patched the reactor. Make sure the Immortals know of that, if they don't already. It should bolster good will and turn away earlier suspicions of their involvement in the reactor being damaged."

The normal slight frown of Lucas' lips turned to a deeper crescent when Houston voiced his knowledge of Nepenthe's true identity. It wasn't that he didn't trust the Baron to keep it, but rather the danger of other telepaths finding the information that displeased him.

"Millions more might stand against me for the same reason. Besides that, she wants a new life unmarred by her past."

A slow shake of the head followed at Houston's suggestion of a political marriage. Nepenthe didn't need another loveless marriage to an inattentive spouse.

"She is already married. I would be a neglectful husband anyway. She deserves better than that."

Without lingering further on the topic of Nepenthe's idenityt Lucas reached a gauntlet clad hand down to where the collar he had taken from Korazzu rested at his hip.

"I have something that may be of use to you."

On retrieving the collar he held it up towards his cousin.

"This belonged to the Starvampire Korazzu. It provides the wearer with a heads up display."

Houston nods, and sends, -<My thanks, cousin! I’ll figure this thing out on no time flat.

-<Though I will say this: political marriages aren’t about love. They never have been.>-

Lucas' lips pursed together into a thin line when Houston reminded him about the nature of political marriages. He knew that wasn't what Nepenthe needed. Her relationship with Jax had sent her into a dangerous depressive state. Lucas had seen her coming out of that dark hole. But he could tell it still had it's tendrils in her. Other than the subtle shift in expression, he didn't offer any response to that matter. Instead he moved on to another.

"The collar has information on it about a race of Xeno called Apkallu. Look into them. In the House of Fallen Peace, the dimensional pocket Korazzu laired in, he held captive an Apkallu royal, called an archfiend. He referred to it as the Librarian. I slew it's body, but it's mind persisted. It's body may reform and if it does the monster could return. Best to know what you can about a future enemy."

Lucas soon parts ways with Houston, leaving the man to return to coordinating the reconstruction of the Winter Palace. It was to Nepenthe that he went next. Though he did not rush over to her at inhuman speed. Instead he walked, observing the going on's in the area. Like with Houston, he made sure not to interrupt what she was doing before interjecting himself into her activities. When he does come up to her, Lucas holds out the envirosuit disc that he had acquired from Heavenpoint.

"A gift from Jupiter. You'll need it when we go to Corrosion."

Nepenthe smiles. “So...Corrosion it is, then? Good. I’m eager to see how the rest of the solar system fared.” She ends her conversation with a small cabal of Immortals, and turns her attention fully to Imperious.

“I can actually connect my HUD to this envirosuit. Lousy power-armor, but better than nothing. TAW tech was designed for modularity.”

Using her HUD so that others wouldn’t overhear, Nepenthe sends, “Is this just recon? I’ve no idea what Corrosion is like, these days. Or is there something else?”

Lucas's natural frown deepens when Nepenthe expresses her eagerness to see what the rest of the solar system was like. Without going into detail, he offers something to temper her expectations.

"The rest of the solar system is bad. Jupiter is even worse off than Rustdeity. The Apkallu have occupied it and are using humans as chattel. There is a hold out of TAW soldiers that were caught in a time loop. They gave me the envirosuit."

When Nepenthe makes and effort to speak without others overhearing Lucas initially paused. A moment later his head is swallowed up in Shi'Halalal's black star speckled helmet.

"There are several tasks we need to see to on Corrosion. We need to make contact with the locals and determine if they still pose a threat. The Oblivion Flock did trick them into sending Xeno Drones to attack the Palace of Eternity and they have been abducting people for ages. This needs to be resolved."

"There is also a Werelure facility with materials for restoring Spywatch, a global surveillance system."

"The Arch-Permitting Wand is on Corrosion. We need that to enable the repair of Skynodes."

"There is a structure called the World Leaf that Shi'Halal has some history with. That is a place we should visit."

"Between Rustdeity and Corrosion there is ... or was ... a Sunsphinx listening post. I would like to see if that can be located."

Her eyes widen. “The World Leaf? It’s just a monument, a gift from a species called the igdi. We rescued them from their enemies, welcomed them in as equals and got full access to their technology. The World Leaf was given to us by the igdi as a sign of gratitude. It’s big, yes, but...it’s just a public landmark.”

The differance in tone between Tamara and Nepenthe when they described the integration of the Igdi's integration into the TAW was interesting to hear. Two different perspectives. It was something he paid attention to as he listened to the Imperial Princess. After she had finished talking Imperious offered an summation of what he had learned to explain the reason behind the desire to visit the monument.

"The person who told me about the World Leaf called me Warseeker. They recognized my armor and said that the Warseeker was a title created by Imperator Nullity for the wearer of Shi'Halal. She oversaw the construction of the World Leaf and gave it to the Warseeker. I was told that the Warseeker was kept away from the public. Though the military knew of and worked with them."

"Shi'Halal does not remember much of her history. Visiting the World Leaf may offer us a glimpse into her past."
