Hey, chief,Dancer-upon-Oblivion pipes in. “Oh! Hey! I’m on public speech mode! Um, hi, whoever else is there!

Tamara says, “This is Commander Tamara Alta of the TAWMS Heavenpoint. You’re the TAWS Dancer-upon-Oblivion? I am very pleased to meet you. You’ve been requisitioned to my command. Are you capable of making the journey to Jupiter?”

Not without a crew,” the ship complains.

Lucas remained silent while the commander introduced herself. After the ship explained that it wasn't going anywhere without a crew, that is when he interjected.

"We are working on a plan for that. You should be aware that Jupiter is under Apkallu occupation. At present there is no safe harbor in the region. You and Commander Atla will have to discuss the logistics of your extended operations and maintenance. My knowledge of past and existing infrastructure is limited. For now, I wanted to introduce the two of you. If there are any considerations you feel should be made before the crew is brought aboard, let us know."

Speaking directly to Atla he offered an observation. It was something he did not have much faith in being viable. Certainly not in the near future.

"I noticed there use to be a shipyard attached to Heavenpoint. Do you believe that is recoverable?"

Heavenpoint’s Commander nods. “I believe so. Dancer-upon-Oblivion should be able to dock here without too many problems.”

When Tamara stated that Dancer-upon Oblivion would be able to dock at Heavenpoint without issue, he raised an inquisitive eyebrow. In the open, yes. Submerged in the storms of Jupiter, however? Imperious was less certain. He didn't debate the mater, however. Instead he moved on to the next issue.

"Have you had time to assemble volunteers for a skeleton crew, and come up with a method of transport to Dancer-upon Oblivion? Or at least, a safe transport ... container ... I could carry them in."

“No, warseeker,” Tamara apologies. “But, we don’t need one. We can give you a telecircle. You carry it to Dancer-upon-Oblivion. We teleport a crew from here to there.”

Imperious paused a handful of seconds, considering the option that Tamara proposed.

"I didn't realized the telecircles had such range. That would be much simpler."

Turning his head he looked off towards the door, considering the range of the telecircles. For a moment he considered asking if they had spare that could be leant to Rustdeity. In the end he decided against it. Heavenpoint would need what resources they had. Imperious stared quietly at the doorway for a short while before returning his eyes to Commander Atla.

"Before I set to that task, I would welcome whatever information you have on the Oblivion Flock and the Alphagate Project."

Tamara pulls up a seat and sits down. “That’s...a complicated question. I’m happy to tell you what I know, though.

“The Alphagate project was supposed to breach a dimensional barrier to gather some sort of ‘ur-matter’, akin to a stem cell, but for reality itself. Several stations were built. I’ve told you a bit about this, earlier. I even have some audio files from the three stations that fell below the universe; it’s...disturbing....to listen to.

“When the Alphagate opened, all hell broke loose. Machines started to go haywire, changing and warping and mutating. Several of the Oblivion Flock’s creators came through. Ironically, the rebel fleet hit earth ten minutes later. They may have saved the universe, those rebels. They can come ready to fight, and they nuked the unholy living hell out of the unnatural things that came through the gate.

“Much more than that, though, I’m not sure, other than a few names: Cthulhu, Hastur, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, Yog-Sothoth.”

mperious offered a single nod of acknowledgement after Atla mentioned names of the Oblivion Flock's mad masters. They were familiar to him now. He might know more. Or descriptors that related to them. Things found in the Alphagate patch that the Soldierwatch satellite had. He didn't share them though. Some things are best not said aloud if you did not need to.

"Do you know anything about the Obsidian Man who lead the Alphagate Project, or how to best destroy the Alphgate and it's infrastructure?
The Oblivion Flock has begun targeting the support rods that maintain the Alphagate's quantum uncertainty. It has been suggested that the gate simply existing is enabling the Oblivion Flock's continued ease of access to our universe.

Tamara hisses in agitation. “Know him? I’ e met him. He’s dangerous. People who crossed him met ugly ends. He was human, or so he claimed, and said he was from Jypt District, in Afarac Bloc. Handsome, but not attractive. He repels; his good looks are intimidating.

“I’m not sure he was human, but he definitely was paranatural. He always seemed ‘off’, to me, like he was trying very hard to pass himself off as human, but sometimes made mistakes. He demonstrated the power to enhance or negate the powers of other paranaturals, and he seemed much stronger than any unmodified human has the right to be.

“Everyone hated the Obsidian Man. We were never given a name, but he had the highest clearances. He gave orders and expected to be obeyed. During him time here, at Heavenpoint, he was a micromanaging tyrant, overseeing virtually everything personally.”

She huffs. “I hope the f*****g bastard died a horrible death.

“As to the Alphagate? Warseeker, I’m a soldier, not a scientist, and none of our scientists survived. I can’t help you, there. I’m sorry.”

Imperious compared Tamara's experiences with what he had heard from Nepenthe and his encounter with the mentally defective Q-Core Icon. He recounted the message that the Q-Core Icon had played for him. The mention of someone called Hod. For a fleeting few seconds he considered asking Tamara if there had been any mention of this name, but he decided against it. The message was secretive. It was doubtful something like that would have been aloud to slip unless he felt safe in mentioning it. Instead he acknowledged the value of what the woman had shared with him.

"That is more than I knew. Thank you. Now, it is time I began my trip back to Rustdeity. Have the telecircle brought to the docking bay."

Imperious requests that Tamara escort him to the docking bay. He doesn't talk much on the way. Most of what he wanted to discuss had been covered. At the docking bay he collects the envirosuit and telecircle. As his head is swallowed up in SHi'Halal's helmet, and the telecircle encased in an energetic field projected by his armor, he bids the soldiers farewell. Then he flies out into Jupiter's titanic storm winds, aiming up and out. Into the void of space, and beyond. But towards Rustdeity.

Arriving in the chaotic, rubble-strewn high orbit above Rustdeity, it is a simple matter to find Dancer-upon-Oblivion. A few moments later he is aboard.

Welcome back, chief,Dancer-upon-Oblivion chirps happily.

Aboard the ancient warship Imperious asks Shi'Halal to quickly check that the atmosphere is stable and suitable for human occupation. Caution out of habit. After which the helmet receded from his face and head, melting into his neck.

"Thank you Dancer-upon-Oblivion. Commander Atla has provided me with a telecircle, by which her people will be able to transport to you. Where would be a good place to set it up?"

At the mention of the transport mechanism he holds up the collapsed telecircle, as if to show the ship and it's Icon what he spoke of. Once Dancer-upon-Oblivion provides a location Imperious relocates there and setup up the telecircle. Then he sends off a quick message to Heavenpoint informing them.

Dancer-upon-Oblivion suggests the bridge, and, within a hour’s worth of set-up sixty TAW troops are teleported aboard the ship. A human man with a third eye painted on his steps forward and salutes Imperious. “Warseeker! I am Lucius Esserton, and Commander Alta has assigned me to the position of captain of this vessel!”
