Viv circled back to Lilly and Amy. "I'm not the one who needs to see the body, and strictly speaking, we may not even need the body, just the cyberware. Who knows- maybe that chip actually has what we need, and we can save a trip to the morgue. I'm better out on the street, with people- and we just aren't to that stage yet. We need to finish the scene here, then we'll figure out the next step. Even with mind-speech, you can't have someone feeding you questions- and the police here don't have the right questions to ask, or they would be asking them, and they wouldn't need us." She took one more look around the room. "Torque still needs to finish with the hardware, and given the nature of this operation, maybe Adeleth can make a sweep for hidden spaces and so on- safe, smugglers compartments, that sort of thing. Before we are done, you will have your fill of talking with people, and so will I. But not yet. And remember- whoever, whatever, did this is still roaming around. We don't want to split up and let it pick us off." She smiled brightly. "Perhaps you haven't seen the right movies, but the person who goes down into the basement alone to check the fuse box rarely has a good time..."

Adeleth nods. "Yes, I suppose looking for hidden spaces would be a good idea." Adeleth bobs in and out of the walls, floors and ceiling to search for hidden niches or caches.

"It helps when the girls in question can teleport and bench press one hundred tons by thinking about it respectively." she nodded to her critters. "Plus, we also have an assortment of back-up. In case."

"The girls in those movies... Couldn't and didn't." she noted dryly, figuring that Viv had forgotten that between Amy and her pets and Lilly, they had enough fire power and escape routes to make a small army weep in envy.

"You are right," says Lilly to Amy. "But you are also right," she continues, turning to Viv. "Let us see what we can discover here, as you suggest, then move outside once that is done. Perhaps if we begin up there..."

She gestures towards the two doors on either side of the entry hall upstairs which Viv suggested previously, then moves off in that direction.

The girl sighs. "Right then, off to search." she said as she motioned her pets to follow. "Let's go."

"And all this because you don't want to see dead things." Alma shook her head, easily divining the real reason under Amy's broached idea.

Amy snorted. "I see plenty of dead things Alma, some, hell most of them are still moving about even. It doesn't make me glad to see more you know." she noted dryly as she followed Lilly. "I swear, I give my therapist nightmares sometimes... Stupid adults." she grumbled. "I don't like dealing with ghosts or dead things in general, but no...." she muttered or rather kveched to herself. In retrospect, she wasn't wrong. What normal fifteen year old wanted to deal with mutilated corpses? Sure, she wasn't normal, but heck, she wasn't a sociopath or psychopath either.

"You need a cookie," Ren noted. "You get out of sorts when you overdo it."

"Indeed," Peekaboo agreed.

Amy has a well-developed phobia/dislike about dead things and dolls, stemming from an earlier noodle incident with a toy store, ghost pokemon and poltergeists. Possessed My Little Pony dolls will do that to you. She'll deal with them if she has too, she just doesn't jump for joy when doing it.

She also needs a cookie.

A cursory examination of the chip from Torque reveals that it is a storage medium that appears to contain a set of highly encrypted numbers - some sort of digital currency.

" Maye this'll tide you over", Dirk says and tosses Amy a cereal bar with chocolate. Other than that, he is still standing aside, letting you work.

The bar sails up and she easily catches it. "Thanks. That sort of work is kinda like belting out Homer's Illiad, in ancient Greek at the top of your lungs while balancing on a very small ball." she said dryly. "With a very critical audience." she unwrapped the bar and ate it, looking visibly better as she drank some water from a bottle she had carried from before.

Viv headed up towards the rooms off the hallway 'upstairs' as well. Just because most of the action had taken place down on the main floor didn't mean there might not be clues elsewhere...

After eating the cereal bar and making a note to carry some energy bars for occasions like this, she and her critters follow the others lead and start poking around, though she is careful not to touch anything and admonishes her own critters to not touch anything as well. Since she really didn't know what she was looking for and was still a bit out of sorts, her search could've gone better, needless to say.

Adeleth Does find a few hidden caches strewn about the building, containing a couple of small electronic storage devices similar to the one found stuck in the throne, along with regular currency. Also, there are two caches containing weapons. And, finally, the walls here appear to be filled with a thin organic substance, an algae-like growth.

The door to the left leads to living quarters, although they are heavily modified to account for AQ no longer really having a human-like body for the most part. There is precious little of interest aside from a huge flatscreen tv, a small workstation for cybernetic repairs and electronics work and lots of issues of MERGE (a magazine - published by the people behind TIME - detailing all kinds of stuff from the merged worlds, very popular with those who want to know as much as possible about all the things they now share a world with).

The one to the right leads to a small security office with several screens and cybernetic equipment that allows for direct interfacing with the building's security systems.

Viv peeked into the security room for just a moment- as soon as she realized what it was, she headed back over to Torque. "When you have a minute, the security room is upstairs. You are the one most likely to be able to get anything out of it."

Then she turned back to the policeman. "Has your team had a look at the cameras and so on upstairs?"

Adeleth spends a moment figuring out how to open the money and weapons caches so the detective can catalog them. She then opens the caches containing tech so Torque can investigate them. Finally she goes to wall with the algae. "Detective, is mold a problem in this part of the city? There's a crevice here filled with a this algae-type growth. I don't want to expose it to the air. Could be some kind of poison trap. Make sure no one touches this area without hazmat suits."

She takes a second to see if there are any means to release this cache into the room remotely or similar devices. Investigation (Add 5 if this should be a Technology roll): 1D20+10 = [16]+10 = 26

Then she investigates the bedroom and security room for similar caches.
Investigation (bedroom): 1D20+10 = [11]+10 = 21
Investigation (security office): 1D20+10 = [3]+10 = 13
