Conner Flanagan
HP: 1
CND: Fine

Safely nestled against a wall as if keep an eye on things, like cops tend to do when securing an area like a court house, Conner dropped some extra tuna to the cat and jumped right in. The first time he did it, losing his current senses was troublesome. Now, he knew he could take them back at a moments notice at the cost of losing control. After making it past the gardeners on their cells going on in Spanish, Conner made a note to relay what he heard to someone who might know it.

The van was more interesting. He could hear the cat getting a bit curious as well, so nudging her to check it out wasn't too hard.

As you tap on the door you get an image flashing in your head of a glass knife being dropped down a sewer grate.

Douglas Reach
HP: 1
CND: Fine

Douglas paused. His eyes shifted to towards the space between the sidewalk and the street where drainage grates were normally located, checking to see if there were any nearby. His right hand moved to his hip, near the sidearm holstered there, and though he did not draw the weapon, his hand was poised to do so. Slowly he took a couple steps back from the back and maneuvered into a position to be able to view all three vehicles. Then he circled around the front of the van and tapped on the window shields of the two sedans, one at a time as he walked by.

"Open your doors slowly and exit the vehicles."

While his right hand remained near the handle of his gun Douglas brought his left hand up to the side of his face, to obscure his lips from people in the cars and help muffle his words. So far Danni and Brandon had made observations. Conner had been silent since they parted ways, and presently he couldn't see the man.

"Knight, check in."

There was a brief pause before he went of to add ...

"Bishop, contact dispatch. Give them the plate numbers and see if anything comes up."

... then Douglas lowered his hand away from his face and back down at his side.

Poodle, are there sewer grates near the cars?

The cat smells multiple people in the area and the smoke from the car is "interesting". You can hear breathing and smells of at least 5 people in the van and 4 in the other vehicle near to the van

There are no sewer grates near the van, just gutters to deal with surface water.

Brandon Warren

As ordered, Brandon calls in the plates of the three vehicles.
If the plates aren't visible, than he will report that back to Douglas.

Conner Flanagan

Releasing control of the cat who wonders off with a belly to take nice long nap, Conner just hears the tail end fo the radio signal. "Copy. At least five in one of the vans and four in the other. Maybe more. The gardeners were not doing much gardening and seemed more focused on the road they said something in Spanish.", says Conner over the radio conveying what was said as best he could. Giraffe, rhino, and lion were easier to pick up for him and thats saying something.

He got back into patrolling and started to make his way over to the vans.

The window of the van rolls down. A hispanic man stares at you suspiciously. Another man watches you from the passenger seat. It is harder to see the people in the back.
" que pasa? Yes officer, can I help you?" The driver asks.

Dispatch lets you know that the van is owned by George Haviera, no current charges. A minor offence for shoplifting as a teen.

The other vehicle is owned by Emil Haviera, a few traffic offences and an assault.

The 3rd car owned by Billy McClusky, several minor drugs offences.

Danni Morgan

Danni continued to kneel at the edge of the roof, hidden by the parapet, as she worked through her preparations- the Barrett was the next cousin to an artillery piece, and getting it ready for use took a few moments. Her movements were quick and sure, the task one she had practiced often, and she continued to listen to the radio chatter as she worked. Her ears perked up a bit as things seemed to be getting interesting.

She left the scope in the case for now, folding open the iron sights instead- at this range the scope wouldn't help much, and trying to dial in for a shot at this kind of downward angle might take longer than she would like... Finally, the Barrett was all but ready- she snapped out the bipod legs and moved so that she could brace it on the edge of the roof with a moment's notice. With no active threat, she did not chamber a round- yet...

Douglas Reach
HP: 1

With the window rolling down Douglas stepped up to the van once more. Mentally he took note of what Brandon and Conner said, but he did not reply aloud given that he had people listening in. At the driver side door he peered into the vehicle, his green-gray eyes moving up and down over the two men immediately visible. Douglas' eyes had moved back tot he driver when he addressed the man.

"Afternoon. Your license and registration please."

While waiting for the requested pieces of identification Douglas continued his observations of the two men who were immediately visible, as well as the contents at the front of the van. Then his eyes shifted back into the darker, more distant region at the back. Though silent during his wait, his was an active observer the entire time.
OOC wrote:Here is a Notice check to see if Douglas can get a better look inside the van, it's occupants, and contents: Notice: 1D20+10 = [18]+10 = 28

Here is a Notice check specifically to see if Douglas is able to note any tattoos on the driver or passenger: Notice: 1D20+10 = [4]+10 = 14

Here is a Sense Motive check for Douglas to try to get a read on the driver: Sense Motive: 1D20+10 = [16]+10 = 26

To save on a bunch of rolls Douglas will also take 10 on Sense Motive check, using the Assessment Feat, on the occupants of the van. THis is to gauge their martial prowess in comparison to himself. Each of those check results is 20.

You do get a clear glimpse of the 3 guys in the back. Your overall assessment is that they are not gangbangers. They are wearing normal clothes. They do not give off that air of competence that you get from military squads. They just seem like a bunch of ordinary guys.

You do pick up some anxiety out of proportion to dealing with a cop from the men, especially the driver although he is trying to hide it.

He hands you his licence. "Is it illegal to sit in a van while being mexican?"

The licence and vehical registration match.

Douglas Reach

Douglas patiently waited for the documents to be handed over, monitoring the people inside the van until they were. Once they were passed to him he inspected them, and took a moment to compare the picture ID to the driver. The he handed them back.

"Thank you."

After the registration and personal identification were returned to their owner Douglas took a step away from the vehicle.

"Have a good day. If you see anything suspicious I'd appreciate it if you informed either myself or one of the officers at the courthouse."

He allowed time for a response from the driver, in the event he wanted to share some information, then Douglas moved away from the van. In a lowered voice he shared his observations with the rest of his team.

"Five confirmed in van. No obvious sign of weapons or gang affliction. Bishop, you want to take one of the remaining two cars?"

After delivering that information he approached one of the two sedans with tinted windows that Brandon had pointed out and tapped his knuckles over the driver's side window.

"Affirmative," Brandon responds. He walks up to the vehicle that Douglas is not moving to.

He taps on the driver's side window with his knuckles.
