Douglas gripped his door's armrest when the transport suddenly braked to avoid running over the bike, yet failed. He was quick to radio them in the wake of the event, knowing a lot of people would be inclined to check on the courier they ran over.
"Stay inside your vehicle and maintain eyes on your prisoners. We will investigate the situation."
After the message was sent off he looked at their driver, Danni.
"Pull in behind the transport. Not so close that we can't see the sides and underneath the vehicle."
Douglas then unbuckled his seat belt and moved to the back where their gear was stored. There he grabs and loads two assault rifles. After which he heads back towards the front of the vehicle and set one up, with the safety on, within Danni's reach, in a location it would not obstruct her.
Danni kept her focus on the road, and on the vehicle they were following- mostly. She braked just slightly as the courier came out of nowhere, and didn't even glance upwards when Conner said someone was on the roof. Most of the time, this was when you put the pedal down, trying to get out of the kill box- but those rules didn't really apply when it was your city and you were the police. "Looks like the bike came back out, but not the rider. If he is, you know, the sort of people we're supposed to deal with he might be underneath, trying to breach the softer armor..."
For the time being, she kept both hands on the wheel, ready to react. If the transport slowed, she would slow with them- if they kept going, she would keep pace. Whoever or whatever was on the roof, she was pretty sure Conner and Brandon could handle them...
@Brandon. You put up the shield just in time as a curved blade pierces the metal roof but is stopped by the mystical shield.
@Conner ooc- there are pigeons. They were alarmed by the squeal of brakes and are flying around the area in alarm. They put up little resistance to you controlling them.
Initiative please..

Danni gave one brief upward glance as the blade punched through the roof and into the shield. "Thanks," she said to Brandon, with a quick nod- then she turned her attention back to the road...
"Going to zone out for a moment. Fredrick was nice enough to let me borrow his senses out there.", says Conner as he closes his eyes hand held on for safety still. His senses shift from his own to the pigeon to see anything they might be able to see outside the van.
Metal was rent apart, the sound of it drew his eyes upward. When Conner states that he is going to zone out Douglas punches him in the shoulder. He didn't know is Conner had already shunted his senses elsewhere, but hopefully a spike in pain would bring him back if he did.
"No. You are not zoning out in the middle of combat. You need to be able to defend yourself."
The words were stated firmly, in a manner that suggested that arguing or debate was not an option. Douglas then shifted his rifle into his left hand and reached down towards his belt where his stun gun was. His eyes moved between Brandon and the blade poking down through the roof of the armored vehicle.
The vehicle in front of you has stopped in a cloud of burnt rubber.
Conner, throygh pigeon eyes you can see a woman on the roof. A sharp jolt of pain hits you as someone punches you. She has a kusari gama in one hand and is reaching into a satchel with her other. She has some sort of ballistic face nask on and appears to be wearing a tracksuit and running shoes. Other details are hard to make out under her loose fitting clothing.

When Conner proved unresponsive after the shoulder punch, Douglas realized he was too late to stop the man from shifting his senses elsewhere. A quick curse fell from his lips.
"Damn it."
Couldn't count on Conner in the now. Had to move forward without him. Grasping hold of his stun gun Douglas drew it out and held it poised to plunge upwards at the tip of the blade poking through their vehicles roof.
"When the shield goes down, head for ... whatever is under the transport. Archer, cover him."
