The Merge, Omega Company is closing down. Will probably reopen a new Merge game soon...

Ouch. We're down to two active games on RA (and, admittedly, two recruiting). The post issues are killing the flow.

I admittedly feel bad about the two games I was in moving over here. Xenoforce itself, the game I run there, is probably not going to finish either. This 'update' has been... A bit disasterous to say the least.

I didn't realize there was so few games left on roninarmy...I am part of the exodus from that forum so am part of the problem. Still, it does make me feel a little sad to see it decline so much.

Fortunately, the problems are apparently only that bad in a few small sections of the board. But one of them is the Games room. I mean, I guess it makes sense... 4-5 posts per day on average in some games that span years, so many games... it probably adds up. I wonder if GR could archive all games older than a certain date and save themselves.

Well, that's the end of an era. The last game on the Atomic Think Tank has migrated.

:( Green Ronin boards(atomic think tank and than green ronin) were the first ones I played PbP on for MnM. I get why it happened, but it is still a little sad.

I just can't fathom how it went downhill for the tabletop subforum so quickly. I still consider myself a new face even if it's been a few years, but I remember how active it was around then. Guess these things happen, as much as we wish them not too. Chances are it could even happen here at some point in the future.

It started around the forum split(reason this place is here) and all the technical issues as best I can gather. The new forum and using it's users as prealpha testers sealed the deal.

Alpha is feature complete with how I use it daily and from my limited usage of the new forum it didn't seem feature complete.

Edit:

Even if it as feature complete, there seemed to be quite a few stress, stability, performance, and usability issues as well. That said, I get the forums aren't their main product and was effectively an advertising platform similar to how comic shops let people play table top games in the stores(or used to at least...).
