Just for curiosity sake, where did you get the Mutant descriptor from?

I created the template, using the guides and examples that were written. I was designing it off of the knowledge of Marvel comics. I just did what felt right, considering my lack of knowledge.

I was pretty lost on how to design his claws too  :?

In Numenera there is a "Mutant" descriptor, which pretty much gives you a selection of random "mutations".
When I tried to build a Wolverine Style character for Numenera, I used the "Doesn't Need Weapons" ability to simulate the claws.
