Might be taking a break for Lent

Post by FuzzyBoots »

I'm still figuring out the details, but one of my intentions for Lent is to spend less time online, and more time in self-improvement and with my wife (and soon, our new child), and so I plan on cutting down on how many sites I check during the day. I should be able to catch up on Sundays with the games list, but changes may not be as immediate, and I'll probably need some help to catch games that end quietly, with a whisper.

It’s all cool, man! The whole point of Lent is to give something up for a time.

I thought the point of Lent was to prepare oneself for a spiritual rebirth to coincide with the annual celebration of the Savior's Resurrection*, with giving things up being part of that spiritual preparation.

* - Of course, one may not believe that the world's most famous carpenter is the Messiah, but I'd doubt those people would do anything for Lent.
