Complications:
Responsibility (Femizonia)- Lyra is on a mission from the Femizons of an Alternate Future of Earth to first breed with Norman Osborn (thankfully, she realizes how gross that is). She decides to stay in Earth's past.
Relationship (She-Hulk)- Lyra is close with Jennifer Walters, viewing her as a sort of surrogate mother.
Weakness (The Angrier She Gets, The Weaker She Gets)- Lyra will lose strength (to a mere Class 10- about Strength 7) the angrier she becomes- if goaded, she must make a Will Save against whatever is angering her (against their own Persuasion, Intimidation, or whatever), and drop Strength based off of how badly she flubbed the save.
Total: Abilities: 90 / Skills: 20--10 / Advantages: 10 / Powers: 41 / Defenses: 7 (152)
-I find this character interesting for two reasons. First, is that she's an interesting study in color schemes and when they're appropriate. See, the colour design is just UGLY here. You'd think combining two of the hottest women in the history of comics in She-Hulk & Thundra would result in the creation of some kind of spectacular Uber-Hottie, but it just doesn't WORK. The problem is the contrast of the red & green- as they're contrasting colours on the wheel (same as yellow/purple and orange/blue), they're very "showy" when put next to each other (it's why so many redheaded women in comics wear green- most artists know this), and the design loses something because of it. I think there's just too much light green in the wrong spots (the exposed belly and bare arms), and too much red in others (her long red hair). If the two colours were DARKER, or in a different ratio, they'd pair off better (the green just looks too PALE, most of the time), or if she had shorter hair or more cover on her stomach, too... Kreuzritter made a much better design with his "Durga" character (a Lesbian Amazon... Lezbazon?), as she has shorter hair and some yellow on the red costume to make the contrast stick out a bit better. This design is just ODD, and offends my artistic sensibilities (I HAVE seen one version that adds some yellow in, however).
-Second, she's a perfect example of that thing John Byrne complained about (and I've heard a few other fans share the view), in that Marvel was adding TOO MANY multiples of certain characters. This used to be something that only *DC* did to excess, with all their Super-people, Bat-people, thousands of Green Lanterns, a dozen Flashes, etc. But even in BYRNE's time at Marvel, they were trying to repeat various names all over the place. Some were for copywrite reasons (Marvel didn't want OTHER people swiping She-Hulk or Spider-Woman as names), but we also ended up with multiple past Captain Americas, James Rhodes getting his own Iron Man suit, Thunderstrike and U.S. Agent. But NOW? Things are INSANE- we've got tons of Caps, multiple Spider-Men (and NEVER MIND how many Spider-WOMEN there ended up being!), a Red Hulk, a second Abomination (A-Bomb), a Red SHE-Hulk, TWO Hulk Juniors, and now a SECOND Green She-Hulk, this one with a hyper-convoluted dumb origin.
-See, Thundra (but not OUR Thundra. That'd be too easy- this one's an ALTERNATE Thundra) impregnated herself with The Hulk's skin cells to create a super-baby, and sent her back to the main timeline to breed with the man who was that century's "Greatest Hero". Turns out that was Norman Osborn in her time, but Lyra refused to go through with it. Packing Hulk-like powers with a slight twist (she gets WEAKER if she gets angrier), she got some New Hero Stink by fighting the Dark Avengers, but is still generally weaker than She-Hulk at her peak. The character's push was short-lived, as her solo book went the way of all
She-Hulk books, and she vanished, last appearing in a couple panels in
Squadron Supreme, alongside her mother.
-Lyra is basically a weaker, less experienced She-Hulk, except she can do a "Trance Technique" that gives her some boosted accuracy. This is the only thing pushing her to PL 11- otherwise, she's a PL 10 Powerhouse build.
