It's a simple idea, but I like it. Just what TV Tropeps calls a Barrier Warrior in Gadgeteer form. This is the first one of two in Part 5 I'd find pretty interesting to play. The other is Downsized Creation God near the end, so look forward to that. That much Create is a ferocious amount of battlefield control. I didn't see it before just now, but this is basically an ultra stripped down Green Lantern, which is always kind of fun.

Sadly, this is one of the ones that loses a bit in the converting. 3E doesn't have the Concentration skill, which is what her Sustaining Amulet's other two DP beefed up with 1 point in the skill and 1 point for Second Chance. It's a minor thing, but without it she's just another Mystic. Albeit with a Blaster Pistol in case magic is not an option for whatever reason.

One thing that might work for that sort of feel -- "I have to concentrate to get my magic to work" -- might be to boost all her Magic spells by 6 points, but add Check Required (Will, DC 17+Rank) for -6 points each, and then give her Second Chance (Will check to activate or maintain powers) in the Amulet.

This one need a change in the conversion. Fort/Will saves are balanced against each other in 3E. So her base Will save is 5 points lower. Could do it the other way, strip out the Enhanced Will and the full +10 be base, but eh, whatever. Basically this one is my first stab at the current Phoenixverse psionics concepts, even if I didn't quite realize it at the time. Willpower so strong reality bends a little bit, allowing her to perform some borderline to outright superhuman feats.

Nice one. Few alternate effects can be added to Create power. A blast is an obvious choice. But a more interesting option would be using force field as an invisible power armor with enhanced strength and close attack. It would fit an alien character coming from an advance species. A stealth field can be added too.

Overall nice build. I didn't expect 20 lifting strength though, that came as a surprise. Pre-based skills are nice, but I must add they can be merged since expertise is used for very broad categories like engineering and science.

The intent with this one was to not have any Alternate Effects off of Create. To use it on its own. This is why the sole attack power isn't an AE off of it. You are not wrong. The things you said are good ideas and I encourage my Dear Readers to use them if they want to do so. But with this one I wanted to focus on the Force Field itself, not any special tricks.

It's taken me an embarrassingly long time to realize who that's supposed to be. Anyway, this is a mage who uses dragon style magic. Standard magic blast, breathes fire, breathes hard enough to knock foes away, the might of a dragon, and a terrifying roar that shakes all who hear it.
