Streetside
HP: 1 Condition: Normal

Streetside, cognizant that there is something more going on outside the building, continues to hose down the fires as he can. Heroics is not all about punching the bad people, sometimes keeping them safe is the best thing to do.

He focuses down and puts out a majority of fires before hustling down the stairs.

Eagleman
Status: -1 penalty to damage
HP: 1

Eaglman crosses to the nearest potential combatant. "We don't need to fight!" he called out. "But if you insist..." He raises his Mace and swings at the enemy.

Close Combat: 1D20+8 = [16]+8 = 24

GM

The figure in the army folds over the swung mace, his gun falling to the ground as he flies backwards and bounces off one of the internal walls. The other three quickly raise their guns, two of them firing en-masse, attempting to tag Eagleman, as he's established himself as the biggest risk among the heroes. Their shots go wide, but as the flashes of their guns fade, you realize they used the moment to fly past you, followed by the third guy, who blasts Martian Man on the way out.

Outside, the lieutenant points his gun and a large silvery web blasts out to wrap around Arcanum before, seeing the others, jets upwards, bracketed by the other three.
"One down?" you hear, replied with, "We'll bail him," before they're close to the rooftops.

Streetside, hosing down the fires inside, and finding that he almost has it under control, sees four armored figures zoom up past him, carrying a bound figure. As they zoom by, he overhears one saying, "And catch them on the way up while I make the delivery."
OOC wrote:I think your mace attack bonus is +10, not +8. But it hits either way, for a DC of 25 on the Toughness save. Toughness: 20 fails and, as a minion, takes the worst possible result, and is Incapacitated.

For the Sky-pirates, Attack roll: 18; 9 will miss Eagle-Man. The third will roll Attack roll (AoA 2): 22 on Martian Man. Since he's still Defenseless, that's another DC 30 Toughness save. Don't forget you're at -1 on the save. I know you planned on changing your post, but I want to keep this moving forward, so take a Hero Point for not really getting anything done, and not rolling for your Snare at the end of your turn.

Lastly, the Lieutenant will shoot a net at Arcanum before jetting into the sky. Attack roll (Snare): 1D20+4 = [19]+4 = 23 is a DC 20 Dodge save. Failure by 1 rank is Vulnerable/Hindered. Failure by 2 or more is Defenseless/Immobile.

Arcanum, you're up for the end of the round. Don't forget to roll resistance against the net.

Initiative:
Eagleman (Bruised 1): 23
Martian Man (Bruised 1): 22
Skypirates (3 minions, 1 lieutenant): 22
Arcanum: 2

Martian Man
HP: 2
Status: 2 Injuries

Martian Man Struggles against the technological snare that has wrapped around his body. Straining and growling to be free, he gets hit in the chest by another blast searing his suit and skin.

Arcanum

Still trying to analyze the situation, Arcanum is caught off guard as the net flings around him and he is unable to move out of the way. He struggles, trying to make of what he can do in the situation. Sigils then draw around him as the net starts glowing a searing red as heat begins to burn at it, but not yet burning through. He hisses through his teeth as he takes what pieces of the net he can get and tying them around each other like coiling snakes. In a hiss, they dart at the Lieutenant and coil around him.
Dodge Roll: 1D20+8 = [8]+8 = 16
failed by 1 degree so he is now vulnerable.

Using Heat Channel Blast to Damage the net: Heat Blast: 1D20+8 = [6]+8 = 14

Morph Reality Minora Create to Trap: 1D20+5 = [12]+5 = 17

GM

The fragments of the net rush up, and form a shell around the escaping Skypirate. There's a moment where gravity starts to take hold before the other three grab ahold of the shell and Arcanum sees them move to a rooftop, and out of sight.
OOC wrote:That is sufficient to hit him. Dodge roll against trap: 1D20+6 = [3]+6 = 9 against DC 15 means he's trapped within it.

That puts Eagleman at the top of the initiative order, currently in the burning ship with Martian Man. And... Streetside is headed down the steps. :|

Eagleman
Status: Normal
HP: 1

The ship going up in flames and the battle having moved outside, Eagleman flies out of the burning vessel, identifying the enemy lieutenant by his clothing. Eagleman makes a Charge Attack against him with his Mace.

Streetside
Status: Normal
HP: 1

The fires under control, Streetside quickly moves to an open section and pokes his head out slightly. He looks up and down to see what the situation is.

At the last moment, Eagleman stopped short and switched his target to the lieutenant's henchman.

Eagleman

Realizing that he's about to strike the melted net currently restraining the lieutenant, Eagleman suddenly switches this target, swiping his mace sideways, crashing into the torso of one of the other Sky Pirates, causing the man to crash to the still-smoldering roof of the hospital.
OOC wrote:Toughness: 1D20+7 = [14]+7 = 21 means the Sky Pirate, as a minion, takes the worst possible result and is incapacitated.

Initiative:
Eagleman: 23
Martian Man (Bruised 1): 22
Sky Pirates (2 minions, 1 lieutenant): 22
Arcanum: 2

That would put Martian Man up next

Martian Man

HP: 2
Status: 2 Injuries

Martian Man musters up all his willpower to amplify the strength of his tactile telekinesis and expands the snare rapidly away from his body until it explodes off of him. Falling to his knees catching his breath on the ground he steels himself and prepares to assist his fellow heroes by flying to the battle.
Strength roll from tactile telekinesis: 1D20+10 = [15]+10 = 25
Also using my 4 miles round movement speed to get to and backup Eagleman.

GM

Martian Man, finally free, flies out, and sees two of the pirates carrying what looks like a melted metal cocoon, as a third is struck by Eagleman's mace, and crashes through the side of the building opened up by the crashed airship. The two pirates set the cocoon down on one rooftop of the hospital. The cocoon glows brightly for a moment, and then shatters entirely as the Lieutenant bursts out, breathing heavily. He shouts into his wrist that they need evac now, and orders the two other pirates to take down Martian Man and Eagleman. The two gamely fire bright flashes of light from their guns, but both miss entirely.

Inside the hospital, Streetside gets a moment to see Eagleman strike the sky pirate before said pirate crashes to the floor inside the hospital, groaning loudly and twitching.
OOC wrote:Sorry, should have had Streetside roll initiative. As long as you're not in combat, you can basically wherever you want in the round.

I was thinking of having the Cocoon Take 10 on its Toughness save against the Lieutenant blasting his way out, but that would pretty much guarantee failure, so I rolled. And... Toughness Save (cocoon): 1D20+5 = [1]+5 = 6 is pretty dang failed against DC 30. :-D

The two remaining pirates miss entirely with Attack Roll (Dazzle): 8
and 13
as their total attack roll.

Arcanum is up for the end of the round. You are still Hindered (-1 on all movement ranks) and Vulnerable (halved active defense bonus before it's added to base 10). You can spend a Standard to apply your Damage against the netting, or you get a Free resistance check using the same, or Escape Artist.
