Before sending a hopefully final blast at the Devil Lady.

Gelert

The blast overwhelms the Devil Lady, sending her flying back several feet. When she lands on the ground, she gets swallowed up by the floor.

Several brooms and dustpans rush out and grab the trident she was holding and carry it off.

Sandstone

Sandstone trots over to Nightbird and takes another massive swing at her.

Amethyst
Condition: Normal / HP: 1

"Hurry," Amethyst hisses. "They're already talking about killing my friends."

"Yes. Fortunately I predict the odds of that succeeding are vanishingly small." Amy says. "Increasing power. Stand by."

The drones fire again, this time in a short pulse as opposed to a continuous beam, and the bindings holding her snap open. More pulses of light follow, and Amethyst pulls the inky black ropes off her and picks up her blaster pistols. There's gonna be payback for that very soon!

OOC

AA Amethyst Damage DC 22: 1D20+12 = [18]+12 = 30

Passes, so she is no longer afflicted. Amethyst will stay where she is and not use her move action.

Amethyst

None of the villains seem to notice as Amethyst's drones cut her out of the shadowy bands.

Nightbird
HP: 2 LP: 1 > 0
Condition: Bruise x 1

Moving to the other side of the Masked figure and out of reach of Sandstone, Nightbird snapped out a series of jabs all targeting weak points on her opponent's body.

Still feeling off her game Nightbird felt that the battle was starting to turn in their favour with Amethyst freeing herself and Moonlight and Gelert taking out the devil themed lady.

Nightbird

Precise strikes slam into the masked mage dropping him.

Like the Devil Lady, the body gets sucked into the floor. Only this time, the aristocrat is ready. His body shifts to smoke and he quickly follows the body through the floor. However, his spear does not shift with him and clatters to the floor. The two artifacts are claimed by cleaning supplies.
Mask TOU save: 1d20+10-1 13
He also failed by 16... too funny.
But this isn't a boss fight.

Everyone gets an HP for the aristocrat escaping

Only Sandstone is left.

Moonlight
HP: 3 LP: 0

The house has their defeated foes captured, but who was the Aristocrat? Oh well, a matter for another time. Seeing Sandstone still standing, she wills a gout of water to blast up from underneath the villain.

OOC: Attack roll for Nature Strikes [water descriptor], -2 Atk, +2 DC: Attack roll: 1d20+10 20 DC 29 if that hits.

Moonlight

Moonlight's blast catches Sandstone completely by surprise, laying her completely out.

The floor also swallows her up.

Well, that is 3 failures by 16 in a relatively short timespan.

Nightbird
HP: 2 LP: 0
Condition: Bruise x 1

"Of course, water to wash away Sandy." Nightbird says in appreciation to Moonlight "Hopefully not too much damage was done to the room and the House is pleased with our efforts."

Curious about what else could be in the room Nightbird took a stroll pass a number of exhibits just looking not attempting to touch them at all but wondering what they could be.

Her curiosity satisfied for the moment NIghtbird asked Saito

"Are you okay, none of those intruders harmed you? And is what you want to find still here?"

All

"Hey, Ms Lookey-loo, the case where the staff is kept this way," the voice of the Nexus says. "Go there and leave."

A series of lights appear on the floor leading off away from where your battle took place.

Amethyst
Condition: Normal / HP: 1

Amethyst brushed off the last remains of the bindings on her, simultaneously pleased that the team had made short work of the baddies, and somewhat embarrassed that she'd spent most of that fight disabled. Not her best showing, for sure.

"I guess the Nexus isn't very chatty," she muses. Which makes sense for the house of a Master Mage; given what she's seen of the magical world, she rather doubts one would want to receive guests from it often. "C'mon. Let's take the staff, and leave the house to its peace." She follows Nightbird along the lighted floor.
