Total: Abilities: 68 / Skills: 52--26 / Advantages: 15 / Powers: 13 / Defenses: 15 (137)

-The mysterious Yoshimitsu is the strangest recurring character in Tekken- a Robin Hood-like ninja who robs from the rich and gives to the poor, whom he protects. Yoshimitsu is notable for getting an almost complete redesign for every incarnation of the game, usually wearing some kind out outfit from Japanese history or mythology. He nearly always looks extremely inhuman, and constantly wears a mask, but is very human. His sword turns out to be possessed by a demon in one of the latter games, and so he dual-wields blades, with the second countering the negative effects of the first. A very popular character, he also appears in five games in the Soul Calibur series, sharing some moves with Mitsurugi! This is said to be in canon- this Yoshimitsu is merely an ancestor to the Tekken one, and the title is apparently inherited.

-Yoshimitsu's powers are incredibly bizarre, and are the least-defined in the series, involving stuff like gear, Teleportation, HEALING, Flight and even his famous "Harakiri" attack, which punishes button-mashers by having one combination actually be him COMMITTING SUICIDE, stabbing himself through the middle. His attacks are tricky and unpredictable, but sometimes risky, leaving him vulnerable to counter-attack- therefore he's PL 9 (as a constant presence in the series since the beginning), but only PL 8 on defense.

Yoshimitsu's "gets some kind of strange redesign in every game" gimmick is also shared by Soul Calibur's Voldo, who is just as bizarre as Yoshimitsu, if not more so in some aspects. Yoshimitsu's Tekken 3 design is probably still my favourite though, especially because of the LASER SWORD.

Complications:
Motivation (Greed)- Kunmitsu was banished from the Manji Clan for stealing from the Clan's own funds.

Total: Abilities: 56 / Skills: 38--19 / Advantages: 12 / Powers: 2 / Defenses: 8 (97)

-huh, this is a weird one- Kunmitsu actually stopped appearing in the canon after Tekken 2, despite Yoshimitsu himself appearing in every game in the series! Kunimitsu is actually Michelle's sub-boss in Tekken. She is a petty thief who later joined Yoshimitsu's Manji Clan in order to hone her skills. However, she soon fell away from their "steal from the rich and give to the poor" scheme, and started simply absconding with Clan funds for herself. Banished, she was forced into air conditioner repair (??) until Heihachi hired her to steal a relic from Michelle Chang. However, she was beaten in the first King of the Iron Fist Tournament. In the second game, she discovers that Yoshimitsu's own sword is also a priceless artifact, and moves out to steal THAT instead (so that her father, a swordsmith, may copy it before he dies). Her fate after this is unknown- she only appears in the Tag games (like a lot of disappeared characters). It's believed that she was killed by Yoshimitsu. Why did the developers never bring her back? Well, I'd guess that she's redundant with Yoshimitsu around, and her style in and of itself wasn't interesting enough.

-Despite being an enormous 5'8" (okay, it's Japan), Kunimitsu is said to be the fastest overall character in the Tekken series. However, she's considered explicitly weak, being "easily defeated" by Michelle in the first tournament, and doesn't appear after the second.

That would get very confusing, very quickly.
The three women faced each other across the floor of someplace you normally wouldn't expect people to be fighting a furious martial arts competition. They stood a while in silence, as though taking each other's measure.

And finally, one of them let out a sigh. "Well," said Helena. "On the one hand ... you're you." She glared murderously at the white-haired woman facing her.

"The one, the only," agreed Christie with a singularly cold smile.

"But on the other hand ... you're wearing the second most ridiculous outfit I've ever seen anyone put on in any of these fiascos we pretend are just tournaments," Helena said to the brown-haired woman also facing her.

"O que realmente?" demanded Monteiro, affronted.

"I don't know which one of you I want to kill more," Helena declared frustratedly.

"Hmph!" said Monteiro, then looked to the woman who happened to share her first name. "Team-up?" she asked.

Christie took a moment to consider the notion ... before an even more icy smile spread across her face. "Nooooo," she said slowly. "Team. Up?" she asked Helena. No ... she popped the question at Helena, puckering her lips as she did.

"... damn my life anyway," Helena declared after a moment.

"Que--" Monteiro started to ask, before two high kicks from two sworn enemies descended towards her.
"I'm sorry. I love you. I'm not sorry I love you."

FWIW, Eddy and Christie's Capoeira is mostly authentic (at least as authentic as the other martial arts in the series), recorded by Mestre Marcelo "Caveirinha" Pereira. The gymnastic flares aren't authentic, he puts his back to the opponent during the handstands, and the throws are just BS, but otherwise, it's all recognizable. Of course, much like with Law's flip kick, there's actual impact on some movements that would otherwise be pretty weak.

He was badly injured by Bryan Fury after rescuing the fighter and saving his life.

-Dr. B is so bad that he FALLS OVER between moves, and is a Joke Character in his games.

The Doctor is mostly just a plot device, but he's still a neat little background and joke character, given all the connections he has to various characters, like Yoshimitsu and Alisa, and could probably be used as a go-to "Tech Guy" in a campaign. He's also surprisngly powerful in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

-Alisa Bosconovitch is a newer character, created when Doctor B (the creator of the Jacks, and the guy who saved Bryan Fury with the Perpetual Energy Generator) pulled an "Astro Boy" and made an android to look like his deceased daughter, though her primary purpose is to serve Jin Kazama. Alisa has real emotions and behaves like a human, and because this is Japan, she's got pink hair and acts like a child. However, the new character Lars is forced to fight against her and beat her- she doesn't wish to, but cannot disobey Jin, who cruelly taunts Lars "Don't tell me you fell in love with it". Defeated, she shuts down. Alisa reawakens in Tekken 7, now working for Lee Chaolan, who allies with her against the Mishimas. She regains her memories and wishes to see Lars again.

-The character appears to have gone over well, despite being BY FAR the strangest and most unique regularly-playable Non-Boss in the series. She has Rocket Fists, Chainsaw Arms and can freaking FLY, yet is a regular character! This is a huge leap for a series in which the usual androids (the Jacks) are just "Big Strong Guys" in play. Her being a knock-off of KOS-MOS from the popular Xenosaga games probably helps.

-Alisa is extremely versatile by Tekken standards (one of the only builds here with Ranged Attack and Flight on it), but lacks credibility as a fighter- her only stuff in the canon is losing to Lars and then simply being one of the Anti-Mishima forces in the seventh game. As such, she is PL 7.5- only marginally better than characters who last a couple of games before disappearing.

Alisa also has an amazingly hilarious grab move where she rips off her freaking head and gives it to the opponent, and it EXPLODES, Total Recall style. She seems to have an infinite supply, since a new head just appears for her after using it.

Complications:
Motivation (Power)- Negan runs his Saviors with an iron fist.

Total: Abilities: 58 / Skills: 50--25 / Advantages: 10 / Powers: 3 / Defenses: 12 (87)

-Okay, confession time: I hate The Walking Dead. Not in the "oh, I used to watch it, but then it trailed off and they ran out of stuff to do" sense, but in the sense that... well, I tried an episode. And it involved them having a chat. Then they had a visit. Then there was a conversation. Then they went back and forth. There was a talk. Then a dialogue. Then some discussion. A parley. Then a tete-a-tete. And then after an hour they opened a barn and shot some zombies. And I was like "FUCK THIS SHOW!" and resolved to never watch it again.

-Negan is the leader of The Saviors (who I'm guessing are the good guys... *reads bio* nope- bad guys) in Robert Kirkman's famous The Walking Dead comic, which got popular, joined the modern Zombie Craze, started a REALLY successful TV show, and then became one of the best-selling comics in the industry, leading to Kirkman kind of losing focus on his other project, Invincible (ie. the one I actually liked). Negan is a villainous sort who insists on an iron-fisted rule over every group of survivors he encounters, and is unafraid to kill others if it means getting his way. The show being popular, he was a "WTF?" decision by being added to the roster in Tekken 7- only the second case of this ever, after Gon in Tekken 3- he joins Akuma, Geese Howard, and Noctis in this game.

-As a Guest Character, Negan is only PL 7, but uses his trademark Barbed-Wire Baseball Bat, ripped off FROM CACTUS JACK, DAMMIT!!, as a weapon. He's an intimidating manipulator of people, vexing the heroes until Rick (the main guy) has him jailed as a lesson, and to watch how much better Rick is at leadership. Negan manipulates things a few more times, even returning to captivity more than once, but is ultimately exiled and not allowed back- Kirkman writes him out of the series.

I am not a fan of the Walking Dead (though have family members who are), though I can aknolwege that it became pretty big, since not only did it have the long-running comic, but then spawned the TV show, and also a series of popular (but REALLY on-rails..your decisions really never matter TOO much) video games by the now-defunct Telltale Games. Negan is probably one of the better things in the franchise, though. Additionally, something that could act as a Complication: He is unhealthily obsessed with his trademark bat, having named it "Lucille" after his dead wife, and even talks to it like a person. As such, he is very protective of it, and when it is damaged he loses his cool composure.

And yeah, his inclusion in Tekken is STILL a massive "WTF?" moment, when a lot of people were asking for guest characters like Kiryu Kazuma from the Yakuza series of games.

So is 4/day too much or too little for these? I don’t want to draw TL/DR from people or anything, but there are a lot of builds here :).

Spitting them out this quickly might look really dumb if I run out of builds to do next year or something :).
