Enemy (Anna Williams)- Anna blames Nina for the death of their father. The two attempted to bury the hatchet at one point, but Nina tried to murder Anna in Tekken 5, and things only spiral downhill from there, culminating with the death of Anna's would-be husband.
Responsibility (Amnesiac)- Nina is basically an emotionless assassin without a past at this point, generally being led by someone in charge.

Total: Abilities: 80 / Skills: 90--45 / Advantages: 19 / Powers: 2 / Defenses: 19 (165)

-As I've said repeatedly, the most INSANELY weird thing about Fighting Games, to me, is the sheer amoung of Blonde Secret Agents- these characters are strewn about the genre as if this was a necessity in every game. Cammy of course was a Shadaloo assassin turned into a special agent in Super Street Fighter II. Fatal Fury had the cop Blue Mary, who worked undercover. Sofia in Battle Arena Toshinden was, of course, a Femme Fatale spy. Sarah Bryant in Virtua Fighter was the first 3D fighting game female to be a Blonde Spy (having been brainwashed by an evil corporation), but none define the type more than Tekken's Nina Williams. Who is of course probably a 100% ripoff of Sarah.

-Nina is one of the most popular and most recurring Tekken characters, acting as the classic aloof and emotionless girl. She has a recurring thing with her sister, Anna, who is more of a smirking femme fatale who has an intense rivalry with Nina, who enjoys embarrassing Anna (many gags involve Nina stripping Anna of her top). An assassin, she was supposed to kill Kazuya Mishima in the second tournament, but failed- Kazuya then had her placed in suspended animation. Awakened by Ogre's powers, she reappears in Tekken 3 at the same age as in Tekken 2, because OF COURSE no female could possibly be made to age nineteen years over the course of the series- only MEN can do so! Now, she is meant to kill Jin Kazama, the new Main Character. By Tekken 4, she is experiencing cryogenic-induced amnesia, largely dependent on Anna for her memories- she discovers that the British boxer Steve Fox is her biological son, based off of genetic experiments (of COURSE she could never get pregnant and GIVE BIRTH- that'd ruin her sexuality!).

-Nina was popular enough to get her own SOLO GAME in 2005- Death By Degrees was a Spy Game in which she was hired by government agencies to carry out hits. She's filler in Tekken 5, but in the sixth game, she's now acting as a bodyguard of Jin Kazama, the Main Villain and ruler of the Mishima Zaibatsu. When Jin is thought dead in this game, Nina is forced to work for his grandfather, Heihachi, in the Tekken 7. In this game, she cruelly guns down Anna Williams' fiance on the night of their wedding, and wears the wedding dress as her main costume!

-Honestly, overall, Nina just leaves me a bit cold. First off, she has the MOST GENERIC CHARACTER EVER, being YET ANOTHER "Blonde Spy Girl". Then you add in the backstory, which more or less goes out of its way to make her a blank slate with no personality (is there anything more creepy than the whole anime "Emotionless Sex Kitten" thing?). And then there's that ridiculous "Cryogenic Sleep" backstory, which puts both her and Anna into the modern Tekken games, despite never having aged a day, so they can be "acceptably fappable". And then the games struggle with placing her anywhere, and she just kind of hovers around the periphery, working as "One of the Mishima Zaibatsu People", with nothing else to her. Her design being basically "Blonde Sexpot in Leather" isn't terribly creative, either. Try telling Nina Williams apart from Sarah Bryant using any particular "tells"- at least Cammy has the signature outfit and pigtails, Sophitia has the facepaint and whip, and more. Nina is basically a generic selection of "Generic Hot Traits".

-Nina is a speedy, lethal character, and is considered one of the best fighters overall- she has great chain throws and is good at evasion. Skill-wise, she is highly-capable, making her one of the most expensive characters in the series. At PL 9, she's also one of the best fighters- she not only appears in every Tekken, but she plays a major part in most of them.

These recent blocks of fighting game builds makes me realize how many of them I sort of dabbled in but never really committed to any. I recognize probably a handful of fighters from most of these but there are probably 2 to 3 times as many that I've never seen before. It's like every game is a series of sketchpad characters and nobody really knows what's going to b stick ahead of time

Since you'll probably post her soon, Eric Jacobus as Anna Williams . Fortunately, she has a costume with pants...

Notes:
Breakdown - Anna Williams' movelist is described as "Assassin arts" in the Tekkenpedia. She features a range of Taekwondo and Hapkido strikes and her throws are primarily Aikido/Hapkido with some Jujitsu rolls. In the mix are a few acrobatics, probably the same ones captured by Law/Lee's stunt double, and some low strikes that smack of Karate. For fighting applications her throws are practical, while her combinations are less realistic, more geared for gameplay trickery.

Total: Abilities: 74 / Skills: 74--37 / Advantages: 19 / Powers: 2 / Defenses: 16 (148)

-An odd character I would bet money was created (and is still used) because some creator has a fetish for Gilded Age fashions, Anna Williams has appeared in every Tekken game but the fourth, constantly fighting her sister, Nina. She's defined largely by her "Flapper" bob haircut and the fact that she wears the most impractical fighting gear ever- an EVENING GOWN, complete with heels. Anna is less serious than Nina, being flirtacious and sociable, but has been hunting Nina for years over the death of their father. Their sibling rivalry extends to the tournaments, where Anna is hired to be the bodyguard of Kazuya Mishima- Nina's target for assassination in Tekken 2.

-Anna survives Tekken 2 and lives into the future setting of Tekken 3, having captured Nina and frozen her into a cryogenic sleep- Anna volunteers for the same, an obvious attempt by the designers to keep both acceptably young and sexy (the other female characters either die or have Suspiciously-Similar Adopted Children). It's said, however, that Anna would still "miss" her sister, thus she volunteered to be awakened nineteen years after the second tournament. With Nina somewhat amnesiac, Anna tried to bury the hatchet, preventing Nina from continuing on as an assassin. Still, Nina repeatedly strips Anna in her endings, embarrassing her- their feud is generally seen along such childish, spiteful lines. However, in the fifth game (Anna misses the fourth for some reason), Nina attempts to KILL Anna, and so it's more personal this time. Her ending is goofy; she and Nina get cast as enemies in a movie production, and she strips Nina of her armor by using swordplay. In the sixth game, Anna seeks revenge for a humiliating defeat by Nina in the fifth. And then, in Tekken 7, Anna prepares to marry the love of her life... only to have him GUNNED DOWN BY NINA, who runs off wearing Anna's wedding dress.

-Though to me, Anna is most memorable for one of my old writing compatriots in the "Something Unique" community (the place where I met Kreuzritter)- Captain Avenger was a HUGE fan of Anna, as despite being a good-old-boy Texas Christian who believed in monogamy and a chauvinist look at protecting women (he said he'd refuse to send any woman to the electric chair, but was a HUGE fan of doing so to male criminals), he REALLY loved his female characters to be manipulative, evil sluts. So he created Anna, who had the same haircut as Anna Williams, and the same DRESS as Anna Williams, and wrote her to be an aggressively-sexual telepath who repeatedly attempted to force herself on Captain Avenger's main hero... Captain Avenger. Some real "forbidden fruit" with this guy- you don't have to be a psychologist to figure out figure out THAT whole situation.

-Anna fights using Aikido techniques, trained by her mother- the girls' father trained only Nina in his assassination techniques, ignoring Anna. However, her style is more focused on pressuring the enemy, throwing them off with repeated strikes from multiple directions, which can screw up a nervous opponent. She suffers from a lack of "poke" moves (quick moves to throw off the enemy and keep them at bay) and an over-reliance on moves that hit high (and are thus easily ducked-under). He fighting style is very similar to Nina's, with only a handful of changes over the years. Some of the later games include Super Moves that involve the use of guns or knives, too.

Anna also has a ROCKET LAUNCHER/bazooka (!!), and uses it several times in cutscenes and the animated movies, as well as in her Tekken 7 Rage Art.

Defenses:
Dodge +8 (DC 18), Parry +13 (DC 23), Toughness +3, Fortitude +5, Will +4

Complications:
Motivation (Becoming the Best)- Feng Wei will stop at nothing to prove that he is the best.
Responsibility (Battle-Lust)- Feng Wei's lust for power and combat is so strong that he's murdered those close to him for admonishing him.
Enemy (Marshall Law)- Feng Wei, in a rage, destroyed Law's dojo.

Total: Abilities: 52 / Skills: 38--19 / Advantages: 11 / Powers: 1 / Defenses: 11 (98)

-The most bad-ass new character of Tekken 5 is Feng Wei- a muscular, insane fighter with a REALLY cool look. Ruthless and merciless, Wei (that's his given name; "Feng" is a family name) is so filled with a lust for fighting that he killed his own master for scolding him for fighting outside of the dojo! Now THAT's a villain! In a great bit, while he's pretty much insane, he respects the power of others, and bows to those who defeat him (such as Wang, in Story Mode). He also seeks out the scroll revealing the secrets of the "God Fist", finding it in the hands of the Mishimas. Winning it, he reads that he must defeat all other masters to unlock the God Fist, which brings him to the other games, always seeking ot defeat others.

-Feng Wei's style is a quick, lethal one- a Chinese style similar to that of Mishima-style karate. Thus, it is direct and powerful, also sporting numerous palm thrusts akin to the Hun Gar style, notable for being the basis for Earth Kingdom martial arts in Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Defenses:
Dodge +9 (DC 19), Parry +13 (DC 23), Toughness +2, Fortitude +4, Will +4

Complications:
Motivation (Fighting)- Ever since she defeated one of those attempting to abduct her, Lili has loved the idea of fighting.
Relationship (Father)- Lili's father is a pacifist, and he hates violence. She is torn between her love of fighting and her desire to please him.

Total: Abilities: 56 / Skills: 32--16 / Advantages: 13 / Powers: 2 / Defenses: 10 (97)

-Yet Another Teenage Girl Fighting Game Character, Lili was a pampered princess (the daughter of a wealthy oil magnate), but was the victim of an attempted abduction. Lashing out, she defeated one of her attackers- this naturally gave her a love and appreciation for street fighting. Her father was a pacifist who abhorred violence, however, and Lili was torn between her love of fighting and her desire to please him. Eventually earning an invitation to the fifth King of the Iron Fist Tournament, she realizes that it is funded by the Mishima Zaibatsu- rivals of her father's. She is eager to defeat them, but she was defeated by Asuka Kazama- even more disastrously, her father discovered what she was doing, and he forbade her from leaving the house thereafter. Later, her father collapsed following the destruction of his business at the Mishima Zaibatsu's hands (they seized his oilfields), leading her to join the sixth tournament.

-Another blonde teen girl in the series (she was created for an Update of Tekken 5), she's actually a recurring character, having appeared in every game since Tekken 5. REALLY leggy and featuring a gymnastics style, she also shows off the game's "Hair Physics"- Tekken has been known for its top-tier graphics for a while now, and characters like Lili are perhaps the best showcasing of how smooth their characters move. Honestly, though, I like the concept (despite the silly "beat an abductor by accident" origin story)... save the fact that she seems uninspired and way too much like Street Fighter's Karin, among other Blonde Rich Girl characters in Fighting Games (and anime in general).

-An agile fighter, I made Lili PL 7.5, owing to her poor showings in the official rankings (Asuka is said to have sent her home early in Tekken 5). She's still very quick and athletic, however.

^_^ I'll finally get a chance to experience some of these characters. I didn't upgrade my console past the PS2, so Tekken 5 was as far as I went, but the Bandai-Namco Humble Bundle right now includes Tekken 7 for the PC at the $25 level, along with several other games.

-Pretty well a Joke Character, Sebastian was Lili Rochefort's butler, typically going along with her fighting shenanigans as a loyalist to the family. However, he fights in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 as a bit of a joke entry, copying Lili's fighting style exactly. These kind of "Moveset Swaps" are somewhat common to Tekken, effectively doubling Roster sizes by throwing a new character model on top of the same "undercarriage". He's pretty close to being the worst Tekken character of all time, but thankfully hasn't infected the main series. I left him at PL 6 because of this one-off nature- I had him at PL 7, but later builds showed Gon & Dr. Bosconovitch at this level, so I adjusted.

-The pair of Tekken Tag Tournament games are well-liked, but out of continuity. As such, their Boss, the purple-slimed nudist Unknown, was heavily implied to be the deceased Jun Kazama. In fact, an art book indicates that the original incarnation was supposed to be a SISTER of Jun, but the games were made non-continuity and so they dropped this idea (possibly to use in canon later- it's likely this idea went to Asuka Kazama in the games set in the future). A werewolf-like spirit is implied to have possessed a girl in order to "complete itself" in the first game, but Unknown appears without it later on. Jun's moveset is used by Unknown, and Unknown appears to stop Ogre from consuming Jin, Jun's son, in Ogre's own Tag Tournament ending, ramping up the evidence. And then of course the second game makes it clear- as you start the Boss Fight against Jun, who transforms into Unknown later.

-In the first game, Unknown starts every battle in the style of Jun Kazama, but can copy the moves of any other fighter (save the Jacks, for some reason). She's thus basically a scarier, more accurate Jun, since you never know exactly WHAT you're facing with her, and she has a Boss's health bar (in addition to the ability to heal). In the second, she acts as a more generic Boss, hitting some Ranged Attacks (using her purple slime as a ground-spikes).

-Craig Marduk, debuting in the second of the "Future Setting" Tekken games, is sort of the embodiment of what the Japanese gaming industry stereotypes Western gamers as liking. Granted, this is actually pretty accurate- big, brutish, tattooed MMA stars are WAY more en vogue in the US in particular that the flouncy, effeminate pop idol fighters that populate a lot of Japanese gaming. Marduk is depicted as a violent, arrogant brute, prone to bragging and sporting a hair-trigger temper, and often shows costumes and designs similar to popular American wrestlers (like Triple-H, Braun Strowman & Brock Lesnar, but in particular Nathan Jones, who has the same size, nationality and criminal record as Marduk). A big part of his backstory is that his grandstanding in a bar (following him being kicked out of his sport) led to a fight with Armor King- a brawl which left the wrestling veteran dead. This made King II, who was trained by Armor King, desperate for vengeance, and so their rivalry playled a big "side role" to the game's main story.

-King is able to defeat the Vale Tudo fighter in both the fourth and the fifth King of the Iron Fist tournaments, and takes pity on him when he finds that Marduk has a family of his own- refusing to slaughter his helpless foe. The two eventually made peace, with Marduk being more humorous and goofy instead of murderously violent. However, he's now hunted by ANOTHER King- the brother of Armor King, who seeks Craig's death. Fearful, Marduk is even shown DIGGING UP ARMOR KING'S GRAVE to prove the man is dead, before being confronted by Armor King II. King II tried to broker peace between the two men, but both were injured in another fight- in Tekken 7, they make a final challenge- Mask versus Career: if Marduk wins, then Armor King must lose the mask (a HUGE thing in Mexico; even today the wildly popular Rey Mysterio isn't allowed to wear his in public because he lost it in WCW decades ago, even though the WWF put it back on him). If Armor King wins, then Marduk must retire from fighting.

-Marduk is a classic "Big & Slow" fighter, like Jack, but is more brutal and grab-heavy. His signature move, Ground & Pound, is a UFC-style wrestling takedown followed by a mass of punches. He is one of very few fighters to be +5/+11, as ST 4 is usually the peak of a Tekken fighter.
