Motivation (Justice, Revenge)- Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered before his eyes as a young child. He has never stopped trying to rid Gotham City of the evil that took their lives. He is devoted to bringing justice back to Gotham, but vengeance still defines much of his life.
Responsibility (Gotham City)- Batman considers himself Gotham's protectors.
Responsibility (Compassion)- Though often quiet and vengeful, Batman is a creature of compassion. He feels pity for some of his enemies (Man-Bat, Mr. Freeze, Baby Doll), and feels sympathy for the victims of crime.
Responsibility (The Memory of Thomas & Martha Wayne, Parents)- Bruce occasionally seems himself in the shadow of his wealthy, honourable parents.
Enemy (The Joker, The Pengiun, etc.)- Batman has amassed numerous enemies, including the entire population of Arkham Asylum, and a few notable public figures (such as Rupert Thorne & Roland Daggett).
Reputation (Lawless Vigilante)- What Batman does is essentially an illegal act, with Commissioner Gordon "looking the other way". Other public figures are less forgiving, and he may find himself hunted. Police detective Harvey Bullock specifically wants him brought down.
Total: Abilities: 78 / Skills: 94--47 / Advantages: 41 / Powers: 44 / Defenses: 12 (222)
-The H.A.R.D.A.C. storyline was a really cool one in Batman: TAS, featuring an age-old sci-fi concept in a world of gangsters & Tommy Guns. A computer intelligence ran amok on its creator, yadda yadda, world takeover, and it gets blowed up. Replacing many powerful people in Gotham with robot "duplicants", H.A.R.D.A.C. plots to remove the source of humanity's pain- their mortality. Batman is nearly undone, but a nosy Barbara Gordon uses her own smarts to investigate, and the computer is ultimately destroyed after the robots are killed in various gory ways (like the Ventriloquist, "Robot" episodes allowed the animators to come up with all kinds of gruesome endings for their villains).
-A project only just completed at H.A.R.D.A.C.'s demise, a Batman Android, awakens when some thugs are scouring Cybertron's warehourse for stuff to steal. The android actually thinks that it IS Batman, providing the episode with an extra wrinkle- "Batman" is curious as to why he's made of wires (figuring he's trapped inside a robot somehow), and maddened by the appearance of the flesh & blood Batman. So now this super-strong beast is running around, and he comes gunning for Bats himself. By episode's end, he actually won the fight, but, believing that Bruce 1.0 was dead, he realized he's broken his ultimate promise- to never take a life, and willingly killed himself out of guilt. This let everyone know that he had a soul after all, just one of silicon.
-The Android Batman is much less Skilled & Advantaged than the original (only so much a robot can teach it's creation that isn't self-learning, like Streetwise), but he's got a swack of other benefits. He's got Immunity 30, minor Super-Strength & Speed, Super-Senses, etc., all on top of what's still a really good fighter. All of this makes him an even PL 10, and also makes him Bruce's worst nightmare in combat- his Toughness +7 makes him much harder to hurt, and he himself can modify a couple of his caps and dish out a TON of damage. Batman can still theoretically beat his Android replica, but he almost certainly needs to cheat to win.
-For H.A.R.D.A.C.'s other androids, you can use most of these stats (they're all fast enough to be +10-12 on Attack), minus a few Skills. They were a pretty devastating bunch, only able to be beaten by using the immediate area (a fast-moving elevator, for example; or a Bat-Signal) to one's advantage. The "Batman gets the shit kicked out of him by anyone over ST 5" thing was still well on display.
