Legal Status: U.S. Citizen with sealed juvenile record, CIA agent assigned to the Mutant Task Force.

At the age of eleven, Sandy was adopted by Peter and Mindy Emerson in Moraine, Ohio as a result of her mother trying to kill her after already having killed the rest of her family. For two years, it seemed like her mind was healing. It helped that she was allowed to look after the Emersons' warren of pet rabbits. On her thirteenth birthday, she got some very good news: The Emersons just filed the paperwork to adopt her! But this joy only lasted a week. Several days later, Sandy came back from school… And walked in on her foster father being tortured by two unknown men, who were demanding to know "Where the disc was hidden." When Sandy's father told them no, they slit his throat in front of her. Then they threatened to do the same to her mother.

Sandy started feeling nauseous, her muscles and skeleton started to change. She had nothing to lose by charging at them.

The results of the police investigation afterwards were clear: As a direct result of her transformation and the stress related to her foster-father's murder, Sandy mutated into a rabbit-human hybrid, gaining the strength and will to save her adoptive mother by beating both men to death with her bare hands. The sole reason the police were able to take her alive was because Sandy was still in shock after having killed in self-defence.

Sandy Emerson spent the night following the slaughter of the assassins in the Montgomery County Jail, and she fully expected to spend the rest of her life in prison. Early the next day, Mindy Emerson came to see her with a man who Sandy had never met before. They informed her that Mindy and Peter had worked as agents for the CIA, using their life in Moraine as a cover, and that the men who Sandy had killed were foreign operatives looking for data that had already been delivered to the US government. They told Sandy that the deaths of her father's murderers were to be ruled self-defence, she wouldn't face prison time. They then offered her the chance to work for the government, who would train her to use her powers for the good of the nation.

Over the next five years, Sandy received extensive military and intelligence training, and at the age of eighteen she became a full time CIA agent and was assigned to the Mutant Task Force (MTF). In the four years since she became a field agent, Sandy has become the top field operative in the MTF, and seems to be well on her way to a position of high influence in the Task Force. Sandy has one quirk that worries her superiors: she will not endanger children, and more than one operation has been scrubbed due to the presence of children. Only time will tell if this lone moral "hiccup" will impede her work.

When not on a job, Thump is a fun-loving girl who especially loves rollercoasters and rock music. When she's on the clock though, Thump is ice-cold, except when children are concerned.

Two years into her work with the MTF, Thump secretly contacted the criminal inventor known as the Fabricator and had him create a sidearm for her, capable of putting down mutants. The result was the Thumper, an unique semiautomatic handgun made with advanced ceramics, chambered for overpressured .50 Action Express rounds. Think of it as a Desert Eagle 2.0.

On his 21st birthday, Rhys Williams was on a hiking trip with his Auntie Scarlet. She led him to a cave in northern Wales that wasn’t on any known maps. When they got to the farthest, darkest, dankest area of the cave, Auntie Scarlet told Rhys to close his eyes. When she told him to open them again, Rhys saw a hoard of gold and on top of it… was a massive red dragon!

The dragon said in Scarlet's voice "Hello, Rhys. It is time you saw who I really am. I am the one who men call Y Ddraig Goch, the Red Dragon of Wales."

"Auntie Scarlet?! Is- Is that really you?!"

"Oh yes! I know you're feeling confused right now, so I'll tell you everything…" Which she did.

In the early 80s, Lady Scarlet as she was known back then, saw the fall of Dragon Data and planned for its resurrection at her hands. She was aware that she didn't quite know how the modern economy or how modern technology really worked, but she did understand that a major Welsh business would be doing her land a favour. She made a agreement with the Williams family. She would give them the money they needed to bring the company back, clear their mortgage peacefully and pay for their child's education at a good school on condition that she helped raise their child. She swore that she would never harm them or the child. She was known to be quite the philanthropist, but this was unprecedented!

The Williams never needed to find a babysitter because Lady Scarlet was always available. The Williams were suspicious on occasion, but even when they had a private investigator check Scarlet out, they couldn't find anything that showed her being involved in any sort of immoral or unethical behaviour. And there were certainly no signs of her doing anything that was even remotely see-you-in-court unlawful, not even littering!

She finished her explanation by offering Rhys a very great gift indeed: The chance to become a dragon himself! Rhys took the offer and was soon encased in a magically formed egg. During the month-long transformation, Rhys' body entered a state of suspended animation while Y Ddraig Goch used a telepathy spell to teach him about the world of magic. A month later, he hatched out from the egg as a dragon. It didn't take more than a year for Rhys to resurrect Dragon Data, making a point of donating 25% of corporate profits to Welsh charities. Rhys names his dragon self Crimson in Auntie Scarlet's honour. He sees Dragon Data as his personal hoard and seeks to improve on it in as ethical a manner as possible.

V is the "protagonist" of V for Vendetta, one of my favourite comics and films.

When Wordmaker's V build for 2E was re-discovered, I sought to remake it for 3E to be both PL 10 and PC-legal, something Wordmaker admitted to having trouble with.

Flameproof: Immunity 10 (Common Descriptor: Fire and Heat)
Flight: Flight 5 (Speed: 60 miles/hour, 900 feet/round; Wings)
Long-lived: Immunity 1 (Aging; Limited - Half Effect)
Scales: Protection 5 (+5 Toughness)

Offense:

Initiative +7
Flame Breath: Blast 10, +10 (DC 25)
Grab, +0 (DC Spec 13)
Throw, +1 (DC 18)
Unarmed, +0 (DC 18)

Complications

Distinctive Appearance: Tabaluga's a dragon! And a friendly one towards humans at that.

Enemy: Tabaluga has two main enemies who both want him gone for good: Arktos, snowman ruler of the Ice World on Green Land's northern border, and Humsin, the sand spirit who rules the Desert to Green Land's south.

Fame: A lot of people worldwide have heard about Tabaluga, but he's most recognisable by nearly every native German-speaker in Europe.

Homesick: Tabaluga wants to go home to Green Land. He enjoys flying over forests as they remind him of home. And Germany has plenty of forests.

Motivation: Doing Good

Languages: English, German, Greenlander (Native)

Defense: Dodge 10, Parry 10, Fortitude 10, Toughness 8, Will 10

Power Points: Abilities 36 + Powers 41 + Advantages 17 + Skills 26 (52 ranks) + Defenses 30 = 150
---
Base: Originally from Green Land, but currently based in Berlin, Germany.

Tabaluga is from a world where there are but three lands: Ice World to the north, where it is always winter, ruled by the snowman called Arktos, who wants the entire world to be covered in ice. To the south, there is an exceptionally dry Desert ruled by a sand spirit calling itself Humsin, who would see his entire world covered in sand.

Both those rulers were arrogant, and they both wanted nothing less than the whole world being completely covered in snow or sand.

And in the middle, is the primarily forested area called Green Land, ruled by the kind dragon Tabaluga, who had spent his life fending off attacks, plots and schemes from the other two lands.

In the Betterverse, Arktos and Humsin formed a plan. They would both cast a ritual to send Tabaluga to another world, making Green Land open for conquest. The rituals worked, dragging Tabaluga and Happy, the snow hare who was his best friend, to another world. But the rituals exacted their price by dragging Arktos and Humsin there as well.

When they landed, they all found themselves in a city that the locals called "Berlin". Arktos and Humsin soon fled for the nearest pole and desert.

Tabaluga and Happy were invited by the TV channel ZDF to become the new hosts for their children's time-slot. This was in 1997. Even now, a couple of years after the show finished broadcasting, they are still well-known all over Europe.

Arktos was last sighted establishing a base in the Arctic Circle, and teaming-up with other villains on occasion.

Humsin's currently in the middle of the Sahara, still trying to figure out why people are calling him an "Efreet" or a "Djinn".

His stats are based on him being in the Betterverse. To make his stats closer to the original albums or the cartoon, remove Expertise: Acting, Wealth, and both non-native languages, using the remaining 7 PP however you see fit. Some of it would definitely go into Status to represent the fact that he's the King of Green Land.

Martin Matin - PL 6

Image

Martin Matin was created by Denis Olivieri, Claude Prothée and Luc Vinciguerra

Strength 1, Stamina 1, Agility 1, Dexterity 1, Fighting 1, Intellect 1, Awareness 1, Presence 1

Advantages
Beginner's Luck, Languages 1, Luck

Powers
It Only Happens To Me: Variable 14 (Feature: Morphic Resonance; Slow, Uncontrolled)

Offense
Initiative +1
Grab, +1 (DC Spec 11)
Throw, +1 (DC 16)
Unarmed, +1 (DC 16)

Complications
Fame: Martin's daily transformations are common knowledge.
Prejudice: Martin is underage, with all the relevant social and legal implications.
Quirk: Martin also suffers from any physical weaknesses and other such tells that are linked to his current transformation. For example, when he became a vampire, he couldn't handle daylight and he had no reflection.
Relationship: With his parents, his best friend Gromo, and his girlfriend Roxanne.

Languages: English, French (Native)

Defense: Dodge 1, Parry 1, Fortitude 1, Toughness 1, Will 1

Power Points: Abilities 16 + Powers 71 + Advantages 3 = 90 PP
---
Occupation: Schoolkid
Base: Paris, France

What makes Martin so special is that every morning, he wakes up as something different. For example, he's been confirmed to have transformed into an alien, a demon, a dragon, a musketeer, and even a paragon-type superhero. Each transformation of his lasts until the next morning.

Martin's major issue is that he often gets into trouble related to his transformation, and he often has to use the skills and abilities given by his transformation to get back out of it and to help his friends.

When he hasn't clearly transformed, it's because something else is going on, and he usually finds out what within an hour of waking up.

Note: The GM should take note that designing an adventure involving Martin requires them to set the PP gained from his Variable in advance, making who he becomes completely different each day. Martin doesn't know who or what exactly is responsible for his transformation, but it's something he'd love to find out.

"Morphic Resonance" is a feature which means that no matter who or what Martin has become today, he is still recognisable as Martin.

I have brought out a trilogy of books that help with what I find to be the hardest part of making a character: naming them.

The Create-A-Name series is my attempt at addressing this issue. Just pick your character's ancestry and gender, then roll the dice! You'll have a new name for your character in less than a minute! Both books can be found below:

Create-A-Name Book 1: British, French, German and Japanese Names.

Create-A-Name Book 2: Greek, Italian, Russian and Spanish Names.

Create-A-Name Book 3: Polish, Romanian and Turkish Names

All three books together give you a total of 2,112,000 names to choose from!

I used to always use a Big Book of Baby Names for mine. Just open a rando page & pick one. I'd then pair it with a last name from a Movie character or actor/actress.

My general sources were from the websites of a particular country's public broadcaster and from that country's newspaper websites. That way, I could be sure that the names are used by real people for authenticity. And yes, the books do include a disclaimer saying that rolling up a notable name at random is completely coincidental.

Michael Thorton is from the game Alpha Protocol, where you work for the eponymous agency.

An operation in Saudi Arabia goes sideways due to Mike being set up, and it turns out that the defence contractor Halbech are trying to start a second cold war to sell their stuff. The problem with starting a cold war is that there's every chance they'll accidentally start a real one. So it's up to Mike to stop them.

YES Mike there we go. One of my favorite games actually Alpha Protocol has lots of versatility and replayability, Heck Id almost argue hes under pointed in a few areas given how much he levels up through the game.

though granted you could customize him points wise to more accurately show how you choose talents for him

all around nice build though :D

Just one pedantic note -- with his listed languages, he only needs 3 ranks of the Languages advantage. I don't know where you'd spend that point, though, as I've never played this game and his skills look appropriate for a cinematic but not superheroic operative.

Agreed honestly you might want to consider just giving him a custom advantage Multi Lingual where he just knows languages by rote with an int check or by spending a hero point And any language hes spoken in game is an auto success. then put the others elsehwere as needed maybe a boost to str and stamina
