Alright, I see. All the same, I'd appreciate you not skipping ahead too much. I've not even described all the terrible monsters and bears that were terrozing the campgoers yet! Wait, I shouldn't have said that. Damn, now I'll have to rewrite that scene...

Right... I had it in mind that you would all be driving down the road, but I'm a touched confused now on where everyone thinks they are.

From how I read it we passed the store, which had no lights and was likely closed because it's the middle of the night, we drove a bit further down the road, came across a gate which lead deeper into the forest.
We stopped to open the gate (which somebody had already unlocked) so we could continue driving and then I think there was some confusion that we were already at the location of the next scene.

The section you find yourselves at sports a closed-off road that leads deeper into the forest with an outdoorsman's shop nested right up against the forest, lights off this late in the evening. According to the maps Felix has scrounged up the road leads up to a campground a couple miles down. Numerous deer trails seem to branch off from there, marking it as the best place to really start getting a good look of the area. When someone gets out to unhook the gate, they'll notice that the works already been done for them, the padlock having been left undone.

The shop is right here, I thought.
