Felix looks from Cheyenne to the Golem.

This was getting out of hand, now there were two of them.

"Yeah, well, I think we should stick here for now. We can keep our eyes on our cameras and try to get into their security system," Felix offers.

The golem made an electronic sound that might've conveyed disappointment, though only Felix could really say.

GM: Unless Philip or Cheyenne wish to go in otherwise, I can move us ahead. Felix, you can roll a tech check for hackery.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Phllip was disguised and did, indeed, want to go in. He's dressed nicely. While he mingles he'll try to monitor the Vampire blood sorcerer but not be seen by him. To further obscure things, he'll draw upon a dark ability. It blurs his features but isn't obvious about it [Insidious].
AE: Applied Obfuscation: Hide in Plain Sight, Stealth +12, Concealment (All Visual), Partial Only, Insidious.
he's stealthing to blend in with the crowd.

After practicing with the fake eel twice, they did the trick again with the live eel and all worked out fine. A knock came on the door and from outside a stagehand announced "two minutes". Kira opened the door and she and Arthur moved to the backstage area where a few of the tricks were waiting. Arthur mumbled, "one-two-three, tiger, and zz. It's all here."

"Of course, it's here, Art. Just calm down. You've done this a million times."

"Okay, you know I'm always nervous just before we go on."

"So nervous that you miss your cue?"

"What? Shit," he dashes toward the side curtain and then as if by magic, he steps into the spotlight cool as a cucumber. "Thank you, thank you." He says holding his hand up. "Please, we only have thirty minutes." On stage is a hollow cylinder, four feet in diameter. He picks up the chucks holding it from rolling stage left and puts them down ten feet away. Then he pushes the cylinder toward them picking up the other pair of chucks which he puts in place as it rolls to a stop against the first pair of chucks. "As you can see, if there anyone inside the cylinder, they are probably dizzy now." He steps to the back of the prop and walks through the cylinder. "And there's no one behind it." He picks up a large cloth that was sitting on the stage and with a whoosh places it over the end of the cylinder. "Now let me introduce my assistant, the lovely Kira."

That's Kira's cue. She teleports into the tube and then returns to human form. Arthur flicks the cloth off the cylinder and she gets to do a ta-da moment for the crowd. Stagehands scurry about removing the cylinder from the stage and putting a large box in its place. Arthur makes a big show of putting handcuffs and anklecuffs on Kira and placing her in the locked box. Then he picks up a large cloth surrounding the box while holding it up. He is then standing on the box. "One," he says and pull the cloth above his head. At this point Kira has teleported out of the box and the manacles. She quickly shifts back and unlocks the box. He pulls the cloth down to show his head again and says, "Two." He lifts the cloth. Kira uses two collapsable poles to hold the cloth in place as he jumps into the box and Kira gets on top of the box. As the cloth drops she shouts, "Three." She unlocks the box, and releases Arthur from the handcuffs and anklecuffs.

The third trick also goes with error. Kira projecting an illusory tiger in a cage which disappears when it seems to break free.

Finally, a zigzag box is wheeled on stage. Kira has not done the zigzag girl illusion since all hell broke loose in the universe a few years back. They are doing this trick by the book. None of Kira's powers in use. It had been a while since she had had to stand sideways in the trickily made box.

And seemingly as fast as it started, it was over and they were back in the green room. The show had not only gone off without a hitch, the crowd truly seemed to enjoy it.

Felix attempted to gain access to the local network and the security system but the long hours and sleep deprivation were working against him. At one point he caught himself trying to hack into the wrong network entirely, which wasn't as embarrassing as the fact that he hadn't succeeded at getting in there either.

The stage show goes brilliantly, completely and utterly without any hitch. It seems that the pressure of having to use only practical illusions accompanied by the terrifying situation of being within the lion's den had an invigorating effect. People had initially only been watching as something to do in-between lots, but by the end the display of mundane wizardry had enthralled the crowd. Arthur leaves the stage with a flash of smoke to thunderous applause.

"Did you see the looks on their faces?" He grins to Kira as they make their way to the green room, danger and mission temporarily put to the back of their minds. "I think this is it for us, our red-carpet straight into the big leagues. Bar the fact that everything else goes horribly tonight, that is."

His mood sobers in a finger's snap as he comes to that realization, and he gives the kitsune a serious look that's almost wholly out of place on the jovial man's face. "Please, be careful with... whatever it is you're doing tonight. Not just because of our reputation, but, I don't want anything bad to happen to you either. Promise me that you'll get yourself home safe, right? Safety's always a foxhole away for you after all."

Out on the show floor, Philip like many others had been left to talk and discuss the tricks witnessed as well as the pieces yet to have been put on auction. He's done a remarkable job of remaining incognito thus far, most paying him only barest amount of attention. Just another suit in the crowd, little more. Still a few of the more attentive attendees have tried to chat the man up. They seemed to have been under the impression he was invited there like everyone else. It takes him some slight more social maneuvering than he was familiar to gracefully withdraw from those talks. At least it doesn't seem like they were very suspicious about his presence, and he'd yet to spot the master vampire from the other night.

Out of the corner of his eye, he notices a few members of the audience have begun to discreetly take their leave. It doesn't take much more than a ping on his phone to know from Felix that the 'private' auction was starting to let people in.

Indeed, while Felix has been wholly unable to crack the hotel's actual security network- Or the neighboring hotel's Wifi for that matter -his own cameras have picked up activity.

Several large men were escorting a young red-headed woman who was all smiles as she chatted up a dark-skinned member of staff. He was stone-faced as he guided her over to one of the front-row seats, giving only 'Yes' or 'No' responses from her not-so-subtle attempts to flirt with him. His rebuffs did little to diminish her good mood however as she started to giggle as she watched the stage. "It's so hard finding good food nobody will miss. Sure, you can always pick up take-out, but the smell!"

"I'm sure." He responded, turning away and leaving the woman and her escorts to their own devices.

More men and woman trickled into the room in ones and twos, most attending by themselves. Most of them were almost certainly coming in on the behalf of their patrons, but there were the rare showings of people like that first woman who wanted to see the 'merchandise' in person. There was hardly an immediately familiar face among any of them, though Cheyenne could spot the man she'd recently served divorce papers too among the crowd. One of the men he had within him had their arm in a cast, obviously having not recovered since her 'visit'.

Unfamiliar faces continued for awhile until another familiar face showed in the form of a stick-thin Arabian man's lone escort. Tall and statuesque, it was almost certainly the man who'd fought against Cheyenne to a stand-still that rainy night several weeks back when some gangers tried to pop the HBJ's tires and rob it's occupants. It seemed that he was either never caught by the police that night, or someone bailed him out in the time since.

Another familiar face emerged not as one of the people being sat down, but acting instead as security. It seems like that fat earthbender wannabe mage had managed to cut himself a break by falling in with the wrong crowd. None of his 'friends' were to be found displaying that they must've had better sense then him. Insignificant in power he was though it showed that not all of the people here would just be mooks with guns. Supernaturals of all varieties were absolutely guarantied to be here whether they were in the audience or on the sidelines.

When shit inevitably hits the fan, the Mythos crew was going to have a huge fight on their hands.

GM: Things continue to move into place.

Phillip made his way in under cloak of Obfuscation, following a group of 'specials', but drops his invisibility to take a seat. He blends in to the crowd awaiting the auction to begin.

"Easy, Arthur, with any luck we won't be associated with whatever goes down next," Kira says.

"Aw, don't get all sentimental on me, Artie," she says and gives him a friendly hug. "I'm going to bamf out. Try not to get into any trouble."

Kira teleports into the auction area, finding a ventilation duct where she fits and can see into the room without being seen. She would have scoped out this area from her earlier recon.

Cheyenne
HP: 2; Condition: Huntress

She was monitoring the video feed when she saw something made an eyebrow twitch in annoyance, "Is that who I think it is?"

the implied tone of her voice was it better not be due to unspecified promises to do serious damage the next time she found the little twerp in her territory

"What? The guy who tried to rob me, tried to destroy my car, and threatened my apprentice?"

"Yeah, that's Elliot alright,"
Felix shook his head.

He sent out a text to the group: Warning, fat asian dude is a geomancer.
He sent a picture along to help them identify who he was talking about.

Cheyenne
HP: 2; Condition: Huntress

" Barricade, beast King carnage and one of his mutts, its a whose who of people I or we have smacked down in one way or another." She grunted and shook her head appreciatively .

"This is gonna be a long night bud." she said this casually but there was a grin on her face. She enjoyed a challenge possibly too much so when an opportunity like this presented itself she was almost too eager

yeah this is gonna kick off one of her complications for sure

GM: Oop, stealth check Kira. You'll have a minor competence bonus.
