Hellraiser Brainstorm & Notes

Hellraiser
Premise: The demon Mephisto should have known that siring a child with the wife of a Marauder would give him nothing but headaches when that child was old enough to access his demonic powers, and now, Harry Potter was living up to that expectation by raising a whole lot of hell!
Required Inclusions:
- Lily Evans must have made a deal with Mephistopheles during her Hogwarts years to obtain justice for the murder of her parents at the hands of the Death Eaters.
- Lily must have made this deal due to the sheer anger she felt about the Ministry's decision to sweep the entire incident under the rug.
- Contrary to his usual modus operandi, Mephisto didn't ask for Lily's soul as payment, but for a favour to be cashed in later on in her life.
- A few years later, Mephisto must come back and ask for his payment, a child that will be born from Lily's womb, meaning that it will be her child as much as it is Mephisto’s.
- While very reluctant to provide this payment due to her current relationship with James Potter, Lily will be unable to deny the demon his due since she signed a magically binding contract.
- Nine months later, the Half-Demon known as Harry James Potter will be born as a healthy and very magical baby, even if Magical Britain as a whole will be unaware of his true nature.
- Albus Dumbledore’s decision to hide Harry behind Blood Wards keyed to Lily’s bloodline must actually be a blessing in disguise since it kept Mephisto away from the young Half-Demon.
- Harry must inherit the ability to channel the Hellfire that is so common to the infamous group of anti-heroes known as the Ghostriders, but without the drawback of turning into a living skeleton.
- Unfortunately, since Harry is not possessed by the Spirit of Vengeance, he’ll start off with an inferior ability to control the Hellfire that his legacy gives him access to.
- Harry must awaken his demonic powers at some point prior to when Mephisto would have preferred for this to occur, which would have been at some point after his seventeenth birthday.
- Harry must be the sort of person who will use his demonic powers to thwart both his father and other demons who wish to take advantage of humanity for their own nefarious purposes.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should, ironically, find himself falling in love with either a female Nephilim, or a female angel, with the love he offers them being reciprocated.
- The forces of good and evil should exist on a similar moral axis to the concepts of Order and Chaos in DC Comics, which actually is somewhat true in Marvel.
- Lily and Petunia’s father should have been a retired SAS Operative who managed to take down several Death Eaters before they managed to end his life.
- If Harry has access to the Penance Stare, then Severus Snape should barely escape from the effects thereof after attempting to use Legilimency on Harry.
- The Patronus charm should be based on Holy Magic, and Harry’s ability to cast the spell should be seen as proof that he is not ruled by his demonic heritage.
Optional Inclusions:
- Draco Malfoy could simply be a scapegoat for the true powers within Slytherin House.
- Mephisto could have been rather fond of Lily, leading to a situation where he offers to give his son the same accoutrements as his Ghostriders, even if Harry will likely refuse this offer.
- Doctor Strange could be accepted to one of Professor Slughorn’s gatherings. Whether the good doctor accepts this invitation or not is entirely up to the author.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry taking Draco seriously after his awakening.
- Harry being romantically interested in men.
- Harry’s powers being magically bound.
- Harry the Malevolent Emo Doormat.

- Destiny: It is Harry's destiny to be the one that ultimately vanquishes the dark wizard who styles himself as "Lord Voldemort."
- Honor: Harry will always keep his word of honor, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in his dealings.
- Impulsive: Harry is a tempestuous young man, who will often act without considering the consequences, even when he is being advised of those consequences by those who might have some idea what they are talking about.
- Motivation: Protector: Harry is highly motivated to use his powers to protect others. He willingly puts himself at risk to defend innocents and those he cares about.
- Nemesis: Albus Dumbledore wishes to use Harry as a sacrificial lamb that he can throw at Voldemort in hopes that the boy's death will act the catalyst which will allow the old man to swoop in and defeat the Dark Lord once and for all. Defeat, but certainly not vanquish!
- Power Loss: Harry does not benefit from his Infernal Durability power when defending himself against attacks with the Holy descriptor.
- Relationships: Harry has recently discovered that he is not the son of James Potter like he always thought, but rather the son of the Archdemon known as Mephisto. He is also romantically involved with an angel who answers to the name of Alexiel.

Complications
- Age: Despite the fact that Illyana is legitimately a thirteen year old girl, most people living in the X-Mansion treat her like the six year old girl she was prior to the seven years she spent in Limbo. This is because those seven years passed in the blink of an eye for the inhabitants of Earth.
- Cursed: Illyana's soul was removed from her body by the Sorcerer turned Demon known as Belasco. It was then split into two pieces, one of which was used in the process of creating her Soulsword, and the other was turned into a Bloodstone that can be used by whoever holds it as a means of subverting Illyana's free will, possibly even causing her to attack her loved ones.
- Darkchilde: If she commits an inherently evil act and fails on a DC 22 Will Resistance check, Illyana’s dark side will manifest and allow her the ability to enact the powers under her Master of the Mystic Arts array even when outside of Limbo, but at the cost of a complete loss of her inhibitions and sense of morality. This supersedes the limitations outlined in Illyana's Power Loss complication.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Illyana is the Official Sorceress Supreme of Limbo, and as such is responsible for protecting that dimension from extradimensional threats. The problem with this, is that Limbo is well known for sending invasion forces out to conquer other inhabited dimensions.
- Power Loss: Illyana is unable to use any of the powers under her Master of the Mystic Arts array, except for her Astral Shift and Detect Magic spells, unless she happens to be within Limbo at that point in time.
- Relationship: Illyana is the precocious younger sister of Piotr Rasputin, who is better known as the Colossus.

The thing that would make him a threat to the Avengers is the Deathless power... on the other hand, the Deathless Power is also something of a curse when fighting the Avengers since it means Hulk can Smash this guy to his heart's content.

- Power Loss: Belasco does not benefit from his Infernal Durability power when defending himself against attacks with the Holy descriptor.
- Weakness: Belasco suffers a cumulative -1 Circumstance Penalty to his Fortitude and Will Resistance checks for each degree of damage that Illyana scores against him using her Soul Sword. Nocturne of Shadow v2 Brainstorm & Notes

Nocturne of Shadow
Premise: It seems that Fate wasn’t done with Harry Potter yet. For his 21st birthday, the young man awoke with ruby red eyes, enhanced physical abilities and brand new powers he couldn't make head or tails of. Then this strange old man came out of nowhere and suggested that he head to a suburb of Tokyo in Japan…
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must be distantly related to a True Ancestor on the maternal side of his family, with the latent genetics finally awakening after Lily’s Blood Wards were no longer needed.
- After recovering from a shock induced panic attack, Harry will take stock of what he has just become and try to figure out how he can control these impressive new abilities and urges.
- During an evening walk to clear his head, Harry will be accosted by a strange old man (Zelretch) who will make the suggestion that he visit the Souya District in Tokyo for answers.
- Arcueid Brunestud’s romantic relationship with Shiki Tohno must come to an end prior to Harry’s arrival in the area. How this came to pass will be up to the author.
- Harry’s metamorphosis didn’t deprive him of his ability to use Wizardry, on the contrary, he has never been as powerful as he is now.
- Arcueid must be quick to answer Harry’s presence in her territory, since the young man isn’t exactly being very subtle with his superhuman abilities.
- After ensuring that Harry means no harm to the humans under her protection, Arcueid must assume a mentorship role in Harry’s life, which will quickly change into a romantic relationship.
- Arcueid must reluctantly allow Harry to have other lovers since the particular women who flock to him will have a true need for intimacy with our young hero.
- Harry must eventually meet and befriend Altrouge Brunestud and he’ll also provide a bridge for the gap between the two sisters, helping them to achieve reconciliation.
- Harry’s emergence as a True Ancestor and the fact that he kept his previous powers must be reason enough for the Burial Agency to send operatives after him in an effort to seal or kill him.
- Harry is still young, even by human standards, so while his power is still somewhat lacking, his potential to grow must be immense.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Arcueid and Shiki’s break-up should have been because the young man simply lacked the stamina to satisfy his ex-girlfriend’s needs in the bedroom.
- Harry should become involved in the events surrounding the Fifth Holy Grail War, and end up saving Matou Sakura, and then he’ll pull a favor from Altrouge to get her help with Dark Sakura.
- Sakura should still require regular tantric rituals to stabilize her Odic levels, even after purging the Crest Worms from her body.
- Harry should hire one of the Clocktower Mages to create a Mystic Code in the form of a staff, cane or rod, which will help him control his newly enhanced magic.
- Harry’s first encounter with Arcueid’s elder sister, Altrouge, should occur after an argument between the two lovers that causes a pause in their ongoing romantic relationship.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could nudge Zelretch towards George Weasley in order to see what transpires.
- The Brunestud siblings could commiserate with each other over Harry’s annoying tendency to simplify their respective species as “Super Fairies” and “Super Vampires.”
- Harry could be so impressed with Medusa’s flexibility after witnessing one of her battles, that he resolves to save her from the lecherous *cough* boy that she calls “Master.”
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being overtaken by the bloodlust of a True Ancestor.
- Harry being as strong as the sisters right out of the gate.
- Harry and Arcueid, the Malevolent Emo Doormats.

Complications
- Compulsion: Arcueid is actively attempting to suppress her desire to suck human blood, and will occasionally be forced to do so, gaining the Blood Drain power that is so typical of other vampires and going on a rampage whenever she fails a DC 23 Will Resistance Check upon seeing a pool of freshly spilled blood. This lasts until she is incapacitated, at which point she returns to normal.
- Enemy: Most of the Dead Apostle Ancestors will stop at nothing in order to eradicate Arcueid and anyone who sides with her in the ongoing war between the True Ancestor and Dead Apostle species. The same would also have been said for the Burial Agency if Arcueid didn't often work alongside them in their common goal of eradicating the Dead Apostles.
- Motivation: Justice: Arcueid won't involve normal humans in her business of killing vampires, but she's not exactly doing it out of the kindness of her heart. And when we say she kills vampires, we mean she brutally tears them apart no matter who they are or what they're doing. She only refrains from killing the vampires she and Harry know because he would get mad if she did kill them. Her chief motivation is revenge against the vampires for killing the other True Ancestors, and also because she didn't really having anything better to do with her time until Harry came along.
- Power Loss: Arcueid loses access to her Ancestral Durability when resisting damage caused by Wrought Iron weaponry, Holy Sacraments, Noble Phantasms, and High-Tier Conceptual Weapons. She also can’t use her Fast Healing power to regenerate from damage caused by such attacks.
- Quirk: Despite her immunity to toxins, Arcueid seems to be highly susceptible to alcoholic beverages and is prone to doing really foolish things while drunk, such as fondling another girl while said woman is trying to pick a fight with her.
- Significant Other: Arcueid is romantically involved with Harry Potter, and has only reluctantly agreed to allow other girls into their relationship, since she is well known for being a clingy jealous girl!

- Enemies: Altrouge has made many enemies over the centuries of her existence, several of whom may yet find a way to hurt her.
- Motivation: Hedonism: Altrouge quickly discovered that eternal life is one of the most boring things imaginable unless you are the sort of person who can exult in humanity's more enjoyable vices.
- Power Loss: Altrouge’s Toughness is not Impervious when resisting damage caused by Holy Sacraments, Noble Phantasms, and High-Tier Conceptual Weapons. She also can’t use her Fast Healing power to regenerate from damage caused by such attacks.

Lord of the Dead v2 Brainstorm & Notes

Lord of the Dead
Premise: Harry Potter could remember Ron Weasley asking, “When you say ‘Master of Death’ -”, only for Xenophilius Lovegood to respond with the words “Master. Conqueror. Vanquisher. Whichever term you prefer.” Unfortunately, it would seem that Xenophilius had vastly underestimated his new lot in life.
Required Inclusions:
- The relics which were given to the three Peverell brothers must actually be Divine Constructs created by Hades Chthonius shortly before he faded from existence.
- The reason Hades created these artefacts was so that he could ensure his divine powers would one day resurface, even if he himself would never again be the Ruler of the Dead.
- When Harry united the Hallows, he inadvertently marked himself as the only person who was worthy to succeed Hades as Lord of the Dead and initiated the process known as Apotheosis.
- Harry must still go out of his way in order to save as many lives as he can, since he will consider it to be very important for mortals to live long and fulfilling lives.
- In spite of this belief, Harry must still acknowledge that some individuals are irredeemable and be willing to Reap them if given the opportunity to do such a thing.
- Harry’s primary romantic interest must be either Pamela Isley, Rachel Roth, or Diana Prince; although, the girl in question doesn’t need to be his only romantic interest.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should lay claim to the Underworld as his sovereign domain shortly after awakening to his full divine potential. However, this could easily be a Herculean challenge.
- Several minor gods, including Makaria and Melinoe, should still exist in the present day and age, since ruling the entire cosmos would have been a challenge for any single deity.
- Harry should open diplomatic channels to the world’s other pantheons after he successfully lays claim to the throne that was left to him by the former Lord of the Dead
Optional Inclusions:
- The demise of the Olympian Council could have allowed for the re-emergence of powerful entities from the dawn of time that would serve as really good antagonists for Harry.
- The Underworld could be suffering under the tyrannical rule of Iapetus, Titan of Mortality.

Complications
- Demeaning Perception: Pam exists to flaunt her feminine attributes, which can cause people to make ill-informed judgments regarding her character. It is however, worth noting that these judgements are, more often than not, remarkably close to the truth.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Every single time Pam commits a crime, she justifies it to herself by stating that it had to be done in order to help the natural world survive just a little bit longer. She's trying to prevent the planet from becoming inhospitable to the very lifeforms that call it their home, humans included!
- Overconfident: Pam's confidence in her power over others and her vanity are her true worst enemies, as it isn't all that difficult to defeat her once you successfully resist her toxic allure.
- Power Loss: There must be at least some form of plant-life within range of Pamela's Plant Detection power, even if it's only in the form of seeds located beneath the ground's surface, in order for her to make use of her Daughter of the Green array.
- Significant Others: Pam is willing to put her own life in danger in order to protect anyone who is too young to properly defend themselves from the capes and creeps who call Gotham City their home.
