Complications
- Ancient Laws: Death is bound by certain ancient laws and covenants that severely limit her power within the mortal world, and how much influence she can have on the beings who dwell in that reality. Oddly, it would seem that Harry is only affected by the laws which limit a Cosmic Entity's power.
- Motivation: Thrills: Death exults in a grand play put on by her minions, and believes that the puppet master need not be seen if the "show" goes as planned. Of course, the current "play" that she has concocted is to have Thanos use the Infinity Stones to eradicate half the life in the universe. She could care less whether he succeeds or not, but is instead interested in the mayhem he'll cause.
- Obnoxious: What Death considers "music" sounds absolutely horrific to most other creatures. She also expects worship and respect from nearly everyone that she meets.
- Relationship: Death is particularly fond of the mortal known as Deadpool, and may even be willing to consider humanity as a whole to be worth something because of the Merc's antics.

Duke of Cantre'r Gwaelod Brainstorm & Notes

Duke of Cantre'r Gwaelod
Premise: Camelot wasn’t the only magical city which was thought lost to time. Even before King Arthur’s demise, the city of Cantre’r Gwaelod had fallen beneath the waves. Now, centuries later, young Harry Potter has risen to prominence and will soon return Cantre’r Gwaelod to its place among the powers of the world!
Required Inclusions:
- Lily Evans must have been the daughter of an Atlantean Royal, with said royal actually being the maternal uncle of Prince Orin of Poseidonis.
- Lily and her son, Harry Potter, must attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry due to their shared ability to use both the magic of Atlantis and that of the surface-dwelling humans.
- Harry’s status as an Atlantean/Wizard Hybrid must give him the usual powers associated with an Atlantean, as well as an affinity for magic, electrokinesis and hydrokinesis.
- Harry must be the heir to the Duchal House of Cantre’r Gwaelod, which is one of several Atlantean city states that sank beneath the waves during the Great Cataclysm.
- There must be more involved in claiming Harry’s rightful title as the Duke of Cantre’r Gwaelod than simply going over to Gringotts and taking an inheritance test.
- Harry must have a romantic partner who serves as the Duchess of Cantre’r Gwaelod. Any additional romantic partners will need the Duchess’ approval before joining the pairing.
Preferred Inclusions:
- The Author should use as much of the “DC Expanded Universe” as is necessary in order to provide the author with a fully developed undersea world. Feel free to also borrow from Marvel.
- Harry should be adept at wandless magic, allowing him to perform both wizarding and Atlantean spells without the need for a magical focus, even if he does carry a Trident.
- The story should begin with either Fleur or Gabrielle making Harry aware of the fact that he is an Atlantean Wizard, rather than simply being a Human Wizard.
Optional Inclusions:
- A few of Harry’s Ladies could undergo a process that allows them to survive underwater.
- There could be an outstanding betrothal contract between the Royal Dukedoms of Cantre’r Gwaelod and Thierna Na Oge, leading Harry into a relationship with Nuada Nic Elatha.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry and his Ladies, the Malevolent Emo Doormat.
- Harry being involved in a male-slash pairing.

Complications
- Enemy: The Dark Lord Voldemort will stop at nothing in order to eliminate the threat that Harry poses to his continued existence, even though he never heard the full contents of Trelawney's first prophecy.
- Impulsive: A warrior's spirit dwells within Harry, which means that he never backs down from a challenge once it has been issued. Harry also has a sweet tooth, and is almost completely unable to say "no" to any sweet treats that he comes across, which could turn into a liability in the case of sweets that have been infused with various types of magical concoctions.
- Motivation: History: Harry feels it is important to know where he comes from, so that it can help him decide where it is that he is going in life.
- Obsession: The arcane draws Harry's attention like nothing else. Whenever such magic is around him, he simply must know more about it.
- Weakness: Spending extended time away from water (about 24 hours) causes Harry to dehydrate and weaken, leading to a situation where he begins gaining levels of Fatigue as per the rules regarding Starvation & Thirst in the Deluxe Hero's Handbook on page 238.

The Lost Malfoy Brainstorm & Notes

The Lost Malfoy
Premise: What if Harry Potter’s mother had been someone other than the wife of James Potter? What if she had actually been the Pure-Blood Princess known as Narcissa Malfoy? How would this change the story of our favorite Wizard, and just what does young Diantha Malfoy want with her half-brother?
Required Inclusions:
- Harry Potter must be the result of a drunken union between James Potter and Narcissa Malfoy, the latter of whom handed him off to his father immediately after he was born.
- As a result of his different parentage, Harry must be sorted into a different Hogwarts House, with the preferred placement being Ravenclaw, though Slytherin is also an option.
- Harry’s adventures at Hogwarts will necessarily be different than in canon, due in part to his different post-Sorting placement, but also due to a difference in his temperament.
- It should be obvious, but Harry must be a Pure-Blood Scion in this scenario, so any story elements that arose due to his being a Half-Blood will not take place.
- Regardless, Harry must still be the Boy Who Lived, which means that he will almost certainly be raised by the Dursley family, since Dumbledore can’t be bothered to check his facts.
- Diantha Malfoy must be Harry’s primary romantic interest, even though they are half-siblings, due to her earnest desire to maintain the purity of her maternal bloodline.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Severus Snape should still despise Harry’s very existence, but only because he is James’ son, rather than due to his canonical status as a constant reminder that James snagged Lily.
- Other girls should express a romantic interest in Harry, though whether anything comes from this development will be left up to the author’s discretion.
- If Harry is sorted into Ravenclaw, then he should become Luna Lovegood’s closest friend, and also the one who ultimately shields her from the other students in their House.
Optional Inclusions:
- Molly & Ron Weasley could come to detest Harry once it is known that he is Narcissa’s son.
- Lily could have survived Voldemort’s attack on the Potters, with James’ sacrifice being what allows for the creation of Dumbledore’s vaunted Blood Wards.

Magical Custodian of Smallville v2 Brainstorm & Notes

Magical Custodian of Smallville
Premise: Shortly after Voldemort was defeated for the final time, Harry Potter went to Gringotts to make amends. Surprisingly, the Goblins didn’t try to put his head on a pike, but there was still a price to pay for the break-in. After reviewing his family’s finances and holdings, the young man packed his bags and left for a small village in the state of Kansas.
Required Inclusions:
- Wishing to make amends with the Goblins after the war is over, Harry will enter Gringotts alone under the terms of parley.
- After reviewing his Family's finances and holdings, which were inaccessible until he was of age, Harry will immigrate to the United States, and more precisely to Smallville, Kansas.
- Leaving Great Britain behind and being barred from returning for a decade is the price the Goblins asked from Harry to avoid another rebellion over his actions and those of his friends.
- It turns out that the Potter family were the magical custodians of the land upon which Smallville was built and that the land has had no custodian ever since Laura Potter’s tragic demise.
- Harry’s sudden arrival in Smallville will feed the gossipers for days, even more so when they learn that he is staying with Nell Potter and her niece until he can buy his own house.
- The main pairing in this scenario will eventually be between Harry Potter and Kara Zor-El; other women are allowed should they obtain Kara’s blessing.
- Since Harry is the magical custodian of Smallville, he will eventually have mild influence over the townspeople, even if it’s informal, which will annoy the Luthor family something fierce.
- Harry must eventually master both his elemental affinity (i.e. wandless lightning magic) and magical reinforcement, the latter preferably before he and Kara become intimate.
- Harry must enter into conflict with at least one «Meteor Freak» threatening Smallville that Clark is either unaware of, or else incapable of defeating on his own.
- Eleanor “Nell” Potter must be a squib relative of Harry’s, though the author is free to decide how many degrees of kinship they are removed from one another.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Since Harry is the closest thing to a local magical authority, the MaCUSA should defer to his judgment about the enforcement of magical laws in Smallville.
- Nell should offer ownership and renovation rights over the Talon to Harry after he bemoans about how he has nothing to do one too many times.
- Harry’s vehicle of choice, a brand new Ducati Monster, should make waves among the younger citizens of Smallville.
- Lana should often complain to her friends about how she wishes Harry wasn’t related to her, since he’s «yummy» and total boyfriend material.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry could have «words» with Clark if he ever learns that the young man was using his telescope to peep on Lana. Bonus points if Harry threatens to inform Martha.
- Harry and Nell could have arguments over the former’s complete refusal to return to school, which could be one of the reasons he is determined to find his own place to live.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being anything other than a remarkably powerful wizard.
- Harry solving every little problem for Clark and the town.
- Harry letting himself be intimidated by the Luthor family.
- Harry and Kara, the malevolent emo doormats.
- Harry going back on his deal with the Goblins.

- Curse Sworn: Zor-El has also tasked Kara with protecting the Blue Crystal of Krypton, which among other things, is actually a Trojan Horse that will give Zor-El complete control over Clark's Fortress of Solitude.
- Honor: Kara will always keep her word once she has given it to someone, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in her dealings.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Kara feels a strong urge to use her powers for the betterment of the world she has come to call her home.
- Power Loss: Kara loses access to her superhuman powers under the light of a red sun like that of Krypton (or when otherwise cut off from solar energy for a long period of time) and her Strength and Stamina drop to 0 in such circumstances.
- Relationship: Kara is presumably the last living member of Clark Kent's biological family, and the daughter of Clark's paternal aunt and uncle, Alura In-Ze and Zor-El.
- Weakness: The radioactive remains of Krypton will sap Kara of her Strength and powers, leaving her first Impaired, then Disabled and eventually Debilitated in terms of her Strength and Power Effects. Long-term exposure (usually only a matter of minutes, or less for large enough quantities of Kryptonite) impose the Dying condition and may lead to Kara's premature death. Please note that this is in reference to Green Kryptonite, other colors have different effects on her physiology.

Lord of Souls
Premise: They say that when you die, you go on to your next great adventure. Well, for Harry Potter, that adventure entailed living his renewed life to the fullest as the one true master of the Soul Stone. After sacrificing his life for countless others, he has been given a second chance to right wrongs and triumph over evil, and that means Thanos and the Black Order!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must truly die while in the Forbidden Forest during the Battle of Hogwarts, but due to his possession of the Soul Gem, he will transcend mortality and become the gem’s true master!
- To this end, the Soul Stone must have been on Earth for all of these many centuries, instead of Vormir, with the inhabitants of Wizarding Britain referring to it as the Resurrection Stone.
- The Soul Stone must enhance Harry’s physiology to the point where he is capable of standing as an equal with Carol Danvers, and give him access to its full suite of powers.
- Harry must either be capable of channeling his mystical abilities without the assistance of a wand, or else find an alternative spell foci to the flimsy bit of wood that is his Holly Wand.

Whatever It Takes
Premise: After living to the ripe old age of 186, Harry Potter was ready to pass into the afterlife and reunite with his loved ones. Unfortunately, it would seem that Fate wasn’t quite done with him, because the next thing he knows, he is waking up in the body of Piotr Rasputin just after he had saved his younger sister by transforming into a human wrecking ball!
Required Inclusions:
- After dying, Harry Potter must be reborn into a new world, or as it is otherwise known, an entirely new fandom. In this case, the world is that of the X-Men.
- Harry must possess at least a passing familiarity with the world he has been reborn into, and use that to his advantage while interacting with the denizens of his new reality.
- Harry must retain the ability to utilize magic, with the author being encouraged to give him access to the three Deathly Hallows in one capacity or another.
- The exact point at which Harry’s memories of his prior existence awaken in his new life will be up to the author, even if they are encouraged to use the event mentioned in the prompt.
- Due to the nature of this challenge, the author is free to pair Harry with whomever they want, within reason. For instance, if Harry is a hero, then a heroic romantic partner is preferred.
- To go along with the idea of using his knowledge to his advantage, Harry must invest in Stark Industries right as everyone else is jumping ship, and end up making a huge killing.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry should be reincarnated as Piotr Rasputin, who is also known as the Colossus, with Harry’s magic being integral to his ability to escape from Magneto with his sister.
- Harry and Illyana should spend at least some time learning magic from the Masters of the Mystic Arts, though they need not commit to joining the Order on a full-time basis.
- Harry/Piotr should be incredibly close to his sister, Illyana, to the point where they could actually become romantically involved after she undergoes her plot relevant age-up.
Optional Inclusions:
- If Harry is reborn as Piotr, then he should be able to access his magic in his altered form.
- The Resurrection Stone, as it is known to Wizardkind, could be the half of the Resurrection Stone from Earth-616 that can revive the soul, and only the soul.
