Build Comments: My current take on Michael Holt incorporates his iconic version with his New 52 version which had loads of potential, but didn’t pan out. I bought the first arc and it was OK, but it could have been SO much better. The Terrifics had its cute moments but overall, they just don't seem to know what to do with Mr. Holt.

On Earth-T1, he's still one of the smartest men in the world (probably not #3 with Reed, Doom and Lex ahead of him at least), one of the most successful and one of the most eligible bachelors. He's one of the leaders of the Justice Society Initiative, the revamped (again) superhero training program and he helps out with the Justice League/Avengers/X-Men Alliance when needed.

Secret Origins: At a young age, Michael Holt showed remarkable intelligence, reading and assimilating the works of Bohr, Einstein, Planck and Feynman, the pantheon of theoretic physics, at the age of six. He studied advanced science, space and time "while other children struggled through Sesame Street."

Holt displayed as he called it, "a natural aptitude for having natural aptitudes," easily picking up and retaining complex skills and abilities that other men spent their entire lives perfecting. Before he began his career as a superhero, he already possessed 14 Ph.D.’s (two in Engineering and Physics -- including assorted doctorates and masters in degrees in Law, Psychology, Chemistry, Political Science and Mathematics). He was a self-made multi-millionaire with a high tech firm called Cyberwear (later Holt Holdings Inc.) and was a Gold-medal winning Olympic decathlete.

While contemplating suicide after the death of his mentally retarded older brother and the accidental death of his wife and unborn child, Holt was met by the Spirit of God's Vengeance, known as the Spectre (ironically, Holt is an atheist), who told him about Terry Sloane, the Golden Age superhero known as Mister Terrific. Inspired by Sloane's life story he took the name Mister Terrific and later joined the current Justice Society of America, eventually serving as its chairman.

The Story so Far: For a time he acted as spokesperson for Tylerco and consulted that company on industrial espionage and security matters in exchange for that company helping fund a youth center Terrific had started.

During a conflict over leadership of the Justice Society between former chairman Hawkman and then-current chairman Sand, Terrific was elected as the JSA's new chairman by his teammates, despite not actively seeking the office. He served in this capacity until the team disbanded following the Infinite Crisis.

Mr. Terrific was part of the team assembled by Batman for an attack on the Brother Eye satellite responsible for controlling the OMACs. He played a critical role as his invisibility to technology allowed him to reach the satellite's propulsion system, sending it crashing to Earth. On this meeting he met and befriended another African American superhero - Black Lightning.

After the Civil War event Holt became a leader in the JSA Initiative. Mr. Terrific has also established an ill-defined mentorship with the latest Firestorm, Jason Rusch.

Characterization: Michael Holt is one of the smartest people in the world, a brilliant inventor and the second super-hero to call himself Mister Terrific. He is the successor to Terry Sloane.

Holt is described as having "a natural aptitude for having natural aptitudes;" picking up complicated skills quickly and retaining them, such as performing emergency surgery on teammate Alan Scott after reading about the procedure in a medical text book. As Holt himself put it, "everyone has a talent...Mine is learning."

Holt is an atheist. Though well aware of and having witnessed much of the mystical nature of the universe firsthand, he cites scientific and rational explanations for all of it. He described souls as "a unique energy that could quantify as a telepathic discharge upon death.

Friends and Foes: Holt has a friendly rivalry with Batman, considered his opposite number in the Justice League. Also, Michael Holt has encountered Terry Sloane twice through time travel, with Sloane expressing pride in having so worthy a successor. Holt has been noted as the most intelligent member of the JSA in its history, surpassing his predecessor.

He and Power Girl have had an off-and-on romantic relationship and he has also dated Sasha Bordeaux.

Build Comments: You know I can’t get enough jobbers so I have to drop this dude, El Jaguar, who received the highest of Marvel Jobber honors: he was offed by The Scourge and NOT resurrected. I mean, Turner D. Century comes back, but this guy, who actually beat Black Widow one on one in his first appearance stays dead? Now that is jobbery!

But fear not, true believers, El Jaguar is still alive and getting beat up on a regular basis in the Superior Thorpacoverse!

Secret Origins: El Jaguar's origin, or even his native country, are unknown - although his name and alias suggests some place in Latin America. As of today, the origin of his powers is still unclear. He was probably a mutant, or an altered human, and terrorist organization HYDRA might be responsible of his alterations. No one seems to know or care that much…

The Story so Far: El Jaguar was the leader of an elite commando unit of HYDRA, alternatively known as Bravos Commandos and Commando Division. One of those commandos was famous assassin Horst Eisele. HYDRA's enemy organization S.H.I.E.L.D. publicly contacted with district attorney Foggy Nelson to join its board of directors. HYDRA marked Nelson as a target, and ordered Jaguar to murder him.

Jaguar and his commandos attacked a New Year's Eve party Nelson was invited to. Nelson's partner Matthew Murdock also was there, along with his then girlfriend Natasha Romanoff - who were also known as costumed superheroes Daredevil (Matt Murdock) and the Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff). Both of them changed to their secret identities and fought the terrorists.

El Jaguar was more than a match for any of them: He defeated the Black Widow and fought Daredevil to a stalemate. However, the tables turned due to the opportune arrival of SHIELD agents led by Nick Fury. El Jaguar ordered a complete retreat, and went to explain his failure to his leader.

Jaguar then met with HYDRA agent Blackwing in a warehouse near the Shea Stadium. Both were unaware of Daredevil and the Black Widow tracking Blackwing. The Black Widow, still humiliated for her previous defeat, fought El Jaguar while Daredevil battled Blackwing. El Jaguar was nevertheless too strong for the Widow to defeat. In a last-ditch effort, the Widow prepared her widow's bite in killing position, but she only managed to knock El Jaguar down!

However, Blackwing defeated Daredevil and, later, the Widow. Another HYDRA agent, Man-Killer, took unconscious Jaguar to the Supreme Hydra in a subterranean base under Shea Stadium. El Jaguar would not recover his consciousness for a while.

When he awoke, the heroes had recovered and were launching a counter-attack. SHIELD had also found them and launched their own commandos. Jaguar tried to fight SHIELD agent Dum Dum Dugan, but was defeated by being slammed to a wall. Although the Supreme Hydra and Blackwing managed to escape, Jaguar and the other Hydra agents were arrested by SHIELD.

He somehow escaped and years later, Jaguar remains at large. It is believed he has shifted allegiances to other criminal organizations from time to time in addition to doing freelance work.

Characterization: El Jaguar is a strong melee fighter.

Friends and Foes: El Jaguar longs to gain revenge against Daredevil and Black Widow for his past defeat.

Build Comments: Outriders were another new creation of Jonathan Hickman for Infinity. They were sent throughout the galaxy by Thanos to search for information for him and one of them finally found what he was looking for. And for his success, he received his great reward; getting his head cut off by Corvus Glaive.

The Outriders were also in Infinity War, but those for more fodder for Cap’s team and the Wakandans so I’m building them as Outrider Drones, that lack most of the abilities of the original Outriders, but still long for death and of course they attack in droves.

Secret Origins:, Outriders are described as parasite assassins, genetically engineered to fulfill their mission holding four arms and the ability to phase through objects, be invisible and probe the minds of their targets. They are loyal and devoted and strive only for success who gladly accept the reward of death upon completion of their mission. They serve the Mad Titan Thanos.

Build Comments: Corvus is the commander of the Black Order after Thanos. He was great in their team book where he showed his tactical brilliance many times and had some humor finally when he was having an existential crisis about whether he was indeed funny. He was not, but his attempts were painfully, unintentionally humorous. He, like the rest of the Black Order got the shaft in the last two Avengers movies but they are bad asses still in my setting.

Secret Origins/The Story so Far/Characterization: Corvus Glaive is the merciless servant of the Mad Titan Thanos. The most loyal of the lieutenants in the Black Order, Corvus Glaive is the most favored by Thanos, having cruelly betrayed his own people to achieve glory with Thanos. He is a strong leader, well versed in diplomacy and intimidation and possessed enhanced strength, speed and as long as his otherworldly blade remains by his side he cannot die.

Friends and Foes: He is married to Proxima Midnight and Black Dwarf is his brother.

Build Comments: Black Dwarf is the brick of the group, but he was also the least impressive, getting his ass handed to him by T’Challa in his first appearance and jobbing to others afterwards. The Black Panther loss is not something to be ashamed of, but the rest of the Order got their healthy doses of New Villain Stink, so he looked like the left out kid. He got taken out by Ronan at the end of Infinity, but of course, he's back.

Secret Origins/The Story so Far/Characterization: The massive stature and strength of Black Dwarf make him the wrecking ball of Thanos' lieutenants in the Black Order. He was sent to Wakanda as part of Thanos' invasion. However, his army was repelled by Wakandan technology and soldiers, and he himself eventually being defeated by Black Panther.

Black Dwarf has Super Strength and Super Dense, unbreakable skin. Although his personality appears the most normal he is much more at peace with oblivion than the other followers of Thanos.

Friends and Foes: Thanos and the Black Order. He is close to his brother Corvus Glaive and has romantic feelings for Black Swan.
