Rise of the Paragon Brainstorm & Notes

Rise of the Paragon
Premise: Not every Kryptonian who comes to Earth wishes to be associated with the man commonly known as Superman. Nor are the ones who distance themselves from the boy scout automatically villains. Lor-Zod came to Earth in search of both freedom and a home, not a new father.
Required Inclusions:
- Brainiac (Vril Dox) must at some point capture the Kryptonian child known as Lor-Zod, who is in actuality the son of General Dru-Zod.
- In this story, Lor-Zod must possess the standard power suite of Kryptonians when exposed to yellow solar energy, rather than possessing the magical powers of the Nightwing entity.
- Lor-Zod must eventually make good his escape when Brainiac inevitably decides to lay siege to the planet Earth, which is where Lor-Zod will eventually become a costumed superhero.
- Unlike his canonical counterpart, Lor-Zod must distance himself from the Superman dynasty by becoming the hero known as The Paragon, and claiming a slightly different civilian identity.
- As the Paragon, Lor-Zod must have his own Rogue’s Gallery, although several of these rogues can be drawn from the pool of characters who already exist within the DC Comics continuity.
- Lor-Zod must side with the people of Earth when his father eventually decides to escape from the Phantom Zone so that he can invade and conquer the planet.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Lor-Zod should be held captive alongside either Miss Martian or Starfire, with the girl in question escaping with him when Brainiac invades the planet Earth.
- Lor-Zod should be paired with Donna Troy and Starfire. Any other girls included must gain their approval before joining the pairing.
- Miss Martian, if the one imprisoned with Lor-Zod, should have a sibling-like relationship with him since both grew up in captivity together.
Optional Inclusions:
- Lor-Zod should have his own dwelling place, rather than living with the Kents. In fact, he could even have his own Fortress, ala the Fortress of Solitude.
- Lor-Zod could consider heroics to be a side job rather than his life’s purpose.
Forbidden Things:
- Lor-Zod becoming romantically involved with Miss Martian or Supergirl.
- Lor-Zod the Malevolent Emo Doormat.

Complications
- Chick Magnet: Women can't seem to get enough of him whenever he is out in his superhero costume.
- Enemy: Brainiac (Vril Dox) is rather upset with Chris over the fact that he not only escaped from the containment unit the Coulan had him sealed inside of, but also because he took a rather rare "White Martian specimen" with him when he left.
- Honor: Chris will always keep his word of honor, strives to uphold the common good, and is never underhanded in his dealings.
Motivation: Protector: Chris feels it is incredibly important to use his powers to defend the people who inhabit the world he now considers his home.
- Power Loss: Chris loses his powers and his Strength & Stamina scores are reduced to 2 while under the light of a red sun, like the one which Krypton once orbited.
- Relationships: Chris is the son of General Dru-Zod and his mate, the warrior known as Ursa. He is also, much to his chagrin, the surrogate son of Krypton's so-called Last Son, Kal-El (aka Clark Kent).
- Weakness: Exposure to Green-K acts upon Chris as a Burst Area Cumulative Affliction 7 (Fort Resist; Powers Impaired & Vulnerable, Powers Disabled & Defenseless, Powerless & Dying) with the effect being applied once per round for each round that Chris remains inside the Area of Effect. Obviously, he is more resistant to Kryptonite than just about any other Kryptonian.

Complications
- Motivation: Doing Good: Megan's response to pretty much everything going wrong in her life, up until she met Chris for the first time, is to think positive and work towards a better tomorrow.
- Power Loss: Megan loses access to her powers and suffers Debilitation in her Strength score whenever she is exposed to more fire than can be found atop the wick of a candle.
- Reputation: Megan is a member of the White Martians. Those who know of the White Martians consider them savage, power-mad and bloodthirsty. This perception is also one of Megan's greatest fears, that she is evil simply because she is a White Martian.
- Temper: Megan does not like her older male counterpart's choice in fashion, and is one of the very first people to tell him to "put some clothes on" whenever she sees him in his Martian Manhunter regalia.
- Trekkie Magnet: Megan is a green skinned cutie from outer space, naturally there are Star Trek fans all over the world who want to get some one on one time with her!

Complications
- Foreigner: Kory's not exactly from around these parts of the Galaxy, and is therefore prone to making incredibly awkward statements born from her misunderstanding of local customs and languages. Fortunately, these incidents are often humorous rather than dreadful.
- Guy Magnet: "Ha! I should have expected one like you. My sweet sister has a talent for attracting devoted protectors... Usually males. Always foolish." Blackfire's thoughts on the matter. Of course, that doesn't really do justice to the situation, since even the girls want Starfire.
- Motivation: Protector: Starfire wishes to use her powers to defend her new home from that which might seek to destroy it!
- Nemesis: Kory's elder sister sold her into slavery, and then conquered the planet they are both from with the assistance of one of their enemies. It remains to be seen whether Kory will be able to save her people and put a stop to her sister's villainy or not, and even if she does, there is still the question of whether Kory even wants to be the Queen of Tamaran, as is her birthright.
- Quirk: Kory will occasionally compare Earth foods to the fine alien cuisine of her homeworld, and in doing so, completely gross out every Terran within hearing range. It is unclear whether she is doing this intentionally or not.
- Rivalry: With Megan, over the topic of what is and is not an acceptable choice in women's clothing when they are out in public.
- Temper: Kory is known for having an incredibly short fuse, and since she was raised in a warrior culture, she's not exactly opposed to using lethal force.

Majestic Spider-Man Brainstorm & Notes

Majestic Spider-Man
Premise: Have you ever wondered what would happen if Peter Parker was influential enough to become one of the Kings of the Hellfire Club? How about we find out!
Required Inclusions:
- In this story, Peter Parker must succeed when he goes through the process of establishing Parker Industries and become a successful Business Tycoon.
- As a result of this fact, he must receive an invitation to join the Hellfire Club and work his way up from a Lounge Member all the way to the rank of Black King.
- Peter must adopt the Black and Gold Spider-Man Costume that was teased in the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home as his default costume after becoming the Black King.
- In this scenario, Peter will be far more pragmatic in how he deals with his enemies than he is in most of his comic book, movie or animated appearances.
- Peter must have his own unique building in which to house the Headquarters of Parker Industries, rather than having it be based out of the Baxter Building like in Marvel canon.
- Peter’s primary romantic interests will be Emma Frost and MJ Watson, the former of whom will be the White Queen of the Hellfire Club, and the latter a Go-Go Dancer for said organization.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Peter should be a card-carrying member of Marvel’s Anti-Hero brigade in this scenario, rather than being one of Marvel’s White Hat Heroes like he is in canon.
- If Sebastian Shaw exists at all in this story, then he should be a former member of the Hellfire Club who was active during the Cuban Missile Crisis, along with Emma’s Aunt Adrienne.
- Peter and Emma could actually be attempting to use the Hellfire Club in order to make the world a better place to live for those individuals with superhuman abilities.
Optional Inclusions:
- The reason that Peter is more pragmatic about how he deals with his enemies could be as simple as having witnessed the Green Goblin actively murdering Gwen Stacy.
- MJ could actually have, or acquire, superhuman abilities of her own.
Forbidden Things:
- Peter being perpetually poor and struggling to make ends meet.
- Spider-Man, the Pathetic Emo Doormat.
- Emma being overly cruel and heartless.

- Enemies: Peter has made many enemies during his time as Spider-Man, including but not limited to Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Sandman, Mysterio, Electro, The Chameleon, The Kingpin, Mr. Negative, Rhino, Kraven the Hunter and so on...
- I Let Gwen Stacy Die: Peter was unable to do anything other than watching helplessly as the Green Goblin murdered Gwen Stacy, who was his girlfriend at the time, in cold blood. This tragedy has shaped how Peter lives his life in the present, being far more pragmatic about how he deals with villains, while also being willing to consort with less than reputable individuals, such as the Hellfire Club, if it helps him to make the world a better place for everyone. Unfortunately, his new outlook has also made J. Jonah Jameson's opinion of Spider-Man all the more legitimate.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Peter wishes to use both his power and his company to help make the world a better place for everyone, even if the world comes to revile his heroic identity for performing actions that come very close to being those of a costumed supervillain.
- Power Loss: Peter's Web-Spinners have approximately 100 shots of Web-Fluid before they run out of ammunition, which tends to occur at the most dramatic of moments in time.
- Secret Identity: Peter tries to protect the people he cares for by keeping his identity as Spider-Man a closely guarded secret that only a few cherished individuals are allowed to know. This list is currently limited to Mary Jane "MJ" Watson and Emma Frost, both of whom managed to figure out the truth all on their own.
