Re: Tales from the Trails (Soulbound) - (Full)
We're coming up on a fun part of the adventure (to me anyways). Hope you're all still having fun and enjoying the game.
If anyone is feeling like dropping out for any reason, please don't feel like you need to spare my feelings and force yourself to continue, or if you just need to a break for a while. We can work it out.

Yeah, sorry.
Going to try to get through to the end of this adventure, but I'll probably retire after this adventure is done.
I am enjoying the game, I just don't seem to have the energy I once did.
Who knows, if Dog survives maybe he'll settle down with some beefy blacksmith girl ;~)

I feel you Arkrite.
So you are aware, we are basically about to enter act 2 of 3. Neither is super long as such, but given the nature of play by post, could be literally months if play, if not another year given how combat can be.
It wouldn't be too much trouble to have Dog escort the merchants back and have a telegraph sent to inform the group that he decided to kinda go his own way. Guildless as he is, he's got that freedom to do so with no reprocussion.

Dog's comment about feathers does also remind me, you guys can take some time to carve the deceivers. There are five hexes worth, so each of you may make five tier 3 anatomy checks for deceiver parts. It won't cost you too much time to deal with and you're not in a rush per se.
And it seems reasonable you can find a serviceable feather for your cap. Just avoid the tail feathers. They mucus-y (noone did the weakness check and it was never quick in position to use its special ability, but they have sticky mucus tails that sap AT)

Lloyd still does not have Anatomy knowledge to use the Carving Bar that Moira is offering. If she wishes to try the User Rank on it though he would assist. But if Willow is more practiced, we could offer her one Hard part from what she might salvage.

Does Willow or Sashura want to try the carving bar?
Is Erika going to try Carving Scissors?

Willow would decline. You guys did all the work on it, wouldn't feel right for her to cash in on it.

Re: Tales from the Trails (Soulbound) - (Full)
With a 5 in Anatomy, I doubt Sashura could even pass the Tier 3 check even once !
(at standard difficulty, the most likely result for 5 dice is 1, occassionally 2 successes)

Re: Tales from the Trails (Soulbound) - (Full)
If you have at least three dice to roll for it, there is always the outside chance you roll three successes. There's no penalty for failing aside from not getting a part, so there is no reason not to try.

On that note, I'll give it one more day anyone to chime in with rolls before moving on. I want to try and get some momentum going into act 2

Sashura tries the Carving Bar :
5#5d6t5: 5 # 2 [5d6t5=4, 3, 5, 3, 5] 2 [5d6t5=2, 3, 6, 1, 6] 3 [5d6t5=6, 3, 6, 3, 6] 0 [5d6t5=1, 4, 1, 4, 3] 2 [5d6t5=6, 5, 3, 4, 3]
Anatomy checks: 5#5d6t5 2 2 3 0 2
One roll of 3 or above.

See? That's one part you wouldn't have gotten at all had you not tried.

Lloyd's help turns the first 2 into successes as well, making 3 hard parts collected total.

Re: Tales from the Trails (Soulbound) - (Full)
My family just got back from a holiday weekend trip. I thought I'd have more opportunities to post, my apologies.
So we got 3 soft parts and 3 hard parts (great job you two!).
Ericka does not have scissors to try to harvest vital parts, it seems, so I think we're good to move on.
