AT: 5(4 now) || Wounds: 7/7 || Casting: 6D6

Lloyd was going to charge forward when the sickly-sweet musk scent from Sashura's pheromone device reached him. Instead, he prepared in the hopes of the creature being lured.

Knowing Magic may well play a part he swipes at the Haunt he previously summoned before it could get out of reach.
attack the Haunt: [9d6=4, 6, 4, 6, 5, 1, 5, 1, 4] 36
Many lots successes
Then he invoked Targeting magic on his trade's signature device.
Cunning for Trick: 6d6=1, 5, 3, 5, 1, 4 2 successes to put Seek Target for next shot from Hunter's Grasp.

Ericka Akcire
AT: 3 | W: 7/7 | 6/2/2/3

Ericka breaths, and grasps one of her spears of Tectus. With a whisper, a sliver of her mind fractures away and funnels into the weapon. She takes hold of it with both hands, and then throws it forward with as much might as she could. Half-way through it's arc the weapon begins to auto-correct, honing itself in on the perceived threats.

OOC: Ach. I thought I posted after I got that response back from Gunmetal.
Action: Cast Animated(T2) (4 success (R20 chat))
Free: Throw Spear (17)*2 meters

If the weapon can attack with this turn
1 Successful strike
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

Grigor "Dog" Geddings
AT: 3 Wounds: 5/5

Dog charges forward into the fog "following" Lloyd.

"So do we have a plan?" He asks as he draws his sword.

"... Lloyd?"

He came to a halt as he realized not only had he outpaced everybody, now he was in the front by his lonesome.

"Ah dammit, who's idea was this anyways?" he groused as he brought his sword up to face off against whatever it was that was standing entirely too close for comfort.
OOC: Recovery Run 2: 5d6 [5d6=1, 1, 1, 1, 4]
So all failures, but I believe it's +1 for having done the same recovery action twice?

The scene before Dog was tense. The large boro-boro was tearing through a cart turned up on it's side, splitered wood everywhere, the bird-like deceiver almost through to the merchants cowaring behind it, the horse still attached to the wagon, trapped by its tack and helpless, though the boro-boro seems more interested in the human morsals.

At Moria's shout, the terrified merchants notice the portal and move on a survival instinct. Wielder or not, you're still humans, and the human is trying to rescue them. They scramble quickly through the portal to apparent safety....relevtively speaking.

Seeing it's prey scrambling away draws the boro-boro's attention towards the group, it's masked face honing in on Dog, seemingly resistingt he draw of the pheromone dispencer in favor of the snack in front of it as it scrambled awkwardly on its taloned feet, wings fluttering to assist it's movement as it charges at the weilder, hoping to make him food.
Defend if you like before revealing the spoiler!
Spoiler
1 Success
While the large deceiver seemed to resist the call of Sashura's guild item, the group hear's a pair of shrill trilling sounds as out of the fog to the group's right a pair of shadows, smaller than the boro-boro ahead of them, but as they draw within range of the rest of the group, they can identify two more, smaller, possibly young boro-boros mid-dive, bee-lining towards Sashura and her pheromones that tell the deceivers that's where dinner is.
Had these two hidden off to the side, but they sure did fail the Cunning check. The big one got lucky. They were far enough back that they to use all their actions to get closer to Sashura, so no extra attacks. Technically only Moira can see both of them in detail, but everyone can at least see one, so it's a fair educated guess that the silouette they see in the fog coming in quickly behind it is another one.

And Moira's Bears pop the haunts handily.

Lloyd Millhaus
AT: 4 || Wounds: 7/7 || Casting: 6D6

"Gah! Babies!" the woodsman exclaims and looses his Grasp toward the nearest one.
Spoiler
Seek Target: [11d6=6, 2, 6, 1, 6, 4, 5, 3, 6, 5, 3] 47 6+1autosuccess Piercing
if it doesn't defend from full successes (if any), even if dmg is reduced, Lloyd will use free action to mount the young deceiver.

Acrobatics: 10d6=1, 4, 6, 5, 6, 3, 4, 6, 1, 2 38 got the three successes needed to mount (even if disadvantage for mounting a smaller target). It can use action to try to shake Lloyd off on it's turn prompting a Tier 3 acrobatics from Lloyd, each subsequent shake adds 1 to Tier. Until dislodged, Lloyd attacks with advantage, can't be attacked by that deceiver, and his attacks can't be defended from.

If it *does* defend then Lloyd will cast Seek Target again on the Hunter's Grasp (first 6 of above roll would succeed without Haunts, not that they're as big a concern with Moira's Paw Patrol on the ball.

Did Lloyd's attack on his own Haunt not succeed? [see top post, above)
If mount successful...

The hiss of compressed gas precedes the dull thud of the firing and the impact as the grappling barb's lodge. The autowinch zips the big man forwards at ludicrous speeds, his glide cape catching just enough wind to bring him up, level with the thing's back and his feet plant solidly on the feathered surface.
Feel free to move Lloyd's token to the nearest one's hex.

Lady Moira Sterling
Moira AT: 2
Bearrage AT (prime): 2>0
Bearrage 2 AT: 1+1>0

Moira makes a yipping sound and both bears surge forward, the duplicate bear focusing for a moment before it, too, charged in. Both bears got into flanking positions and swiped with powerful claws.

Midway through the charge, Moira swings her legs off to land on the springy moss and foliage, the straightens, able to get a good look for the first time; to evaluate and take in the scene tactically. With three foes it was important to try to see what they could do to hamper the creatures.
Moira: [Free] step to dimount
[Action] anatomy to see weakness.
know: anatomy: 10D6 = [6, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 4] = 36
Failure to spot the thing's weakness. :(

Bearrage 2: [Free action] Focus Recovery focus: 6D6 = [3, 2, 1, 3, 4, 6] = 21
, +1 AT
[Action]: Charge
I think Bearrage 2 is in a side hex. That was the intent.

Bearrage Prime: [Action] Charge
Spoiler
[Free] Step back 1
Both bears were exhausted, (the only way they could get close enough for the attack was due to Lloyd's plant magics); they'd be unable to defend against the bird creature but such would hopefully distract from attacks on the human swordsman.

Without knowledge of the specific anatomical weak points she calls out general tactical advice, "Dog, Blink behind it for your attack!" she yells. From behind, the Hunter would have an undefendable strike against the beast and force it to turn if it wanted to engage. She would have advised him to blink onto the thing's back but without Scaling gloves it would do little good. Maybe one of the House of Battle members would request a pair of gloves with their Guild allocation if the unguilded swordsman was amenable to their use. Lloyd seemed to be making good use of being on the beats' backs.

Sashura Vlasova
Pheromone : 2 rounds left
Sharpness on Chelydra : 3 uses left
AT : 6 -> 4

Sashura looked to the skies and noticed TWO shapes approaching from the right.

"That's the good news and the bad news about this dispenser." Sashura groused, "The good news is the pheromones can attract all Deceivers in range. Good for getting them away from more vulnerable targets.

The bad news is the pheromones can attract ALL Deceivers in range - even the ones you didn't see. Best not use them near a swarm of Deceivers !"

Since she had a good idea where they were heading - STRAIGHT FOR HER - she decided to attack while they were exhausted from their charges.
Charging at the furthest one on the map (and not the one Lloyd is going after) - hopefully between the Fertile patches, her Agility of 5 and Reach on her weapon, she should be able to hit something.

Charging Attack 4/26/22: 9d6t4 5 - 5 successes as : [9d6t4=5, 4, 1, 2, 1, 3, 5, 5, 5].
If connects, 5 damage, 1 point of armor ignored.

Grigor "Dog" Geddings
AT: 6 (2 Existing + 4 Recovery) Wounds: 5/5

Dog listened to the advice and found it very clever. Of course it could leave the bird chasing after the people he assumed were still nearby. He was having a hard time taking his eyes off the giant bird creature, mostly due to his assumption that doing so would result in his untimely death.

He watched the bird, biding his time. Some people would say that a strong offense was the best defense. Those people were usually drinking beers at the pub and didn't need to worry about the arms and legs they'd lose in the process.

Dog's new plan was simple. Buy time until somebody came to save him. Be it a giant man, a giant bear, a giant terrifying gun, or a spear with a bomb on it. For the first three he'd take a more active approach. For the last one? He was thinking about jumping off the bridge.
Recover Check: 5d6 [5d6=1, 5, 3, 6, 6]
So that's 4 successes counting the +1 for the recovery check.
I get the feeling I don't want to miss out on any opportunity to avoid damage.

Tectus-2 Soars forward of it's own volition, angling itself upwards in a lack-adaisail fashion. This early on her weapons weren't exactly the quickest opponents, but they'd make up for it in a moment. Hopefully.

Erica herself take another spear in hand as she charges forward. Half of her urges to flick the little switch and prime it's payload, but with opponents like these it was harder to risk. Instead, she'd settle for just trying to distract it long enough for the main-event. At the end of her rush, she tosses Tectus-3 upward in an arc.

LLOYD

Lloyd springs into action, carfully lining up and firing his guild item, hitting true and pulling himself to the flying youngling deceiver, making it look easy.

DOG

After cleaving his blade deep into the Boro-boro, Dog prepares for an angery retaliation from the bird-like deceiver.

MOIRA AND HER BEARS

While Moira attempts to ascertain the deceiver's weakness, her bears surge in, flanking the deceiver and delivering a pair of strikes. While the Boro-boro shifts to avoid one strike, the other totem bear strikes clean leaving a wicked slash.

SASHURA

The angle was a little rough, but the guardian had a long weapon, and the advantage that the young deceiver was coming right for her, putting it barely in her range, piercing the deceiver's hide with her lance, causing no small amount of ichor to rain down.

ERICKA

While the senstive young woman's primary attack wasn't succesful as the young deceiver veered clear of it, she had her pieces in place to follow up.

DECEIVERS

While the two younglings continue to focus on Sashura, the large one looks like it might continue to engage with Dog and the bears, but freezes briefly, sniffing at the air apparently, it's mask clicking as it opens and closes rapidly for a moment then focuses on Sashura and leaps over Dog to dive at the guardian, slashing with the wicked hooked beak-mask.
All three fail the save from the pheromone dispenser, so gonna focus everything at Sashura. Fortunately, all the attacks necessitates recovery checks, so they won't get to attack as much as they might otherwise.

For the haunt, if you get one success, it pops. I don't worry too much about defend rolls for them. I removed the token as well.

The young boro-boro is mounted and not attempting to shake Lloyd just yet, opting to attack the focus of the pheromone.

Lloyd Millhaus
AT: 4>1 || Wounds: 7/7 || Casting: 6D6

Lloyd empowers Heartwood to extend it's spectral presence.
[Casting Increased Gravity[free action]. If successful, this extends the Bond's reach by an additional 5 feet and allows Collateral to affect all three birds for his next attack.
Cunning for trick: 6d6=6, 1, 1, 3, 3, 4 18 barely avoided summoning another haunt.
First attack
Spoiler
Attack1, impact: 9d6=4, 1, 1, 5, 4, 6, 4, 3, 5 33 3 successes vs. big and other small boro-boros, 6 successes vs mounted boro-boro. Damage is Impact
Collateral and reach should affect all 3 and Crush means -1AT if 3 successes or more were rolled. Against mounted boro-boro, advantage and no defense.

Second attack. All three again [Collateral]
Spoiler
Attack2, impact: 9d6=2, 3, 3, 2, 3, 4, 3, 6, 5 31
2 successes vs. big one and other small one, 3 successes vs. mounted one [triggering Crush again]
If second attack hits the other small one, lloyd casts Increased Gravity[free action]. If successful, this locks the bird into place. (if the small boro defends, he'll put increased Gravity on the big one instead (if he hits)
Cunning for trick: 6d6=6, 1, 1, 3, 3, 4 18 barely avoided summoning another haunt.

Since wielding a combo 2 quarterstaff with a Combo 2 parrying dagger in off hand I think Lloyd gets another attack, but I think it has to be with the dagger. (He might have to use the dagger if Increased Gravity locks down his Bond weapon too). So only against the mounted boro-boro: (if I'm wrong that he even gets an additional attack, please ignore this)
Spoiler
Attack3, Pierce: 6d6=4, 2, 4, 1, 4, 5 20
4 successes against mounted boro-boro
Lloyds swings Heartwood over his head, the spectral tree striking all opponents before the big woodsman swings his quarterstaff-pillar again, this time the Spectral tree of Heartwood grows over one of the unmounted birds; all before [Maybe] burying his off-hand dagger into the neck of the deceiver he's mounting.

[Editted] Hearing Erika's warning regardless if the bird-beast he's mounting drops Lloyd will release to gravity's embrace and glide up to 24 feet as a reaction thanks to his glide over Sashura's head and Northward 3 paces.

Sashura Vlasova
Pheromone effect : 1 round left
Sharpness of Chelydra : 2 left
Auto-Buckler : 4 uses left
ATs : 4 -> 1

Sashura noticed the adult Boro-Boro decided to go after her rather than Dog.

"These pheromones are disturbing effective !" she noted as the beast bounded towards her and attacked.
Using Autobuckler to defend against adult Boro-Boro : Auto Buckler vs Adult Boro-Boro: 6d6t5 0 - it slipped passed the mechanical shield ! 2 Slashing damage vs 5 Armor (Slashing). No injuries.

Standard Defense vs young Boro-Boro #1 : Defense vs young Boro-Boro #1: 5d6t5 3 - dodged the critter's attack. 1 Slashing vs 3 successes = no injuries.

Standard Defense vs young Boro-Boro #2 : Defense vs young Boro-Boro #2: 5d6t5 2 - almost got away with it. 3 Slashing vs 2 successes = 1 hit vs 5 Armor (Slashing). No injuries.
Sashura was QUITE relieved that her armor was up to the task - that last Boro-Boro hit rather hard !

And that one was just a baby ! That meant the adult could probably hit much harder. But she guessed that it was in such a rush to attack her (due to those pheromones) that it was out of position or tired. Or she got lucky. Conditions that will not last long.

Dealing with three opponents at once was exhausting. Good thing she probably wouldn't need to do so for long.

She decided to prime the Auto Buckler so it could defend again.

Realizing she's getting boxed in, she decided to clear out while she had the chance.
Free Action : prime Auto Buckler
Action : move ahead 3 hexes, past the adult Boro-boro

"Lloyd!" She yelled, bracing herself with both Gemini and Inimeg. "Get back! He's about to blow!"

It was just as she warned, the animate spear sensing the opportunity Sashura momentarily provided and flicked it's own switch. What thoughts that ran through the weapon's rudimentary mind were, of course, unfathomable. At the very core of it's personality however was a single desire, a wish, a need. Boom.

Moira AT: 2
Bearrage AT (prime): 0>5
Raptage AT: 0>5

This was a time for rest for the Bearrage.
Then he steps

While he does so, Moira sees the explosive spear dancing and weaving it's way forward and concentrates to appear next to her duplicated bond and turn Bearrage 2 into his raptor form.
, relocate trick
the 2 of 4 needed, Totemic, 2 Haunts Spawn
The newly formed Raptage recovers, and grabs the length of leather on the levitating Moira's coat to be ready to fly in case of the bridge blowing up and falling from beneath them.
